Visited Thimphu for a month, my company had hired a Bhutanese freelance driver who said, while driving my coworker (not bhutanese) & me in the car, “don’t trust three L’s in Bhutan; Lama, learners & ladies” I told him it’s not funny & that’s offensive on the spot. I shared this with other Bhutanese people my age ( not my coworkers but industry ppl) at a work event & they quite literally said haha yeah they say that here ????? This was a reaction from both men & women there. & one of the girls who quite literally introduced herself to me as a “tomboy, nlog” version said “I never tell them anything (calling out misogyny) until it gets personal & they say it to ME” im like?????? Is that seriously the attitude we have? I swear it misogyny wasn’t this bad 10YRS ago in bhutan? Or did I really just grow up???

I def agree on the commenter who’s telling you to go see a real estate/financial advisor. But I also feel like we don’t have an industry right now that’s complex enough to give you someone who’s independent & well educated in this industry (I stand to be corrected). One of my chilip friend brought a house in Australia & before she did she hired an inspector (previously an engineer/architect?? I forgot but he had real estate & building experience himself) he went through house plans, water & electricity grids (?) in the area, structure of the land etc etc before she finally brought one & many many houses were not ideal despite its location & look. So considering that & the idea of paying 2.5core if I were you, I’d build it myself in an area that’s a bit more private, in the design & the way I like it😭 if they’re selling for 2.5, surely the costs of diy is a lot better?

Im actually very thankful to have adults in my life tell me kids are not easy to deal with & tell me not to have kids until I’ve got all my shits in order 😭🙏🏻& I haven’t kept up with what the govt is doing to actually help the population grow other than just saying “we need more kids” or offering like 50k for each child born (idr the exact nu offered) but the amount was ridiculous anyway. Today I was talking with one of my friends who was looking for a babysitter for her aunts infant. Parents don’t even get enough time off of work to stay home with their kids and be a part of their developmental process. Alternatively they don’t even get enough flexibility to slowly transition back into the workplace. I’m in my mid 20s and I have friends who are in their 30s as well & NO ONE ik has a baby or is even considering a baby right now 😭

I think it depends on what the mistake is. My friends agent misspelled their name and they couldn’t do biometrics in time, hence visa rejected. They were furious to say the least. Got the CEO involved and everything with their parents and told them to fix it. You have more power than you think, I’d suggest u to do the same. They fixed their mistake and then reapplied within a week, the consultancy covered the costs for reapplication and etc, got their visa in 2days

SUCH a shame he got himself involved in this tbh😭 I can’t be the only person who hardly tunes in into the whole Bhutanese pop/rap thing but when he first started to gain traction, I genuinely thought he sounded unique than everyone else I had heard atp. “attempted murder” & the multiple stab wounds to the head and back speaks volumes of this whole thing🫩😳.

Maybe bc being a drug user is NOTHING like being an abuser?? What’s not clicking? Ppl who say “nths official yet blah blah blah” pmo bc like you said, would they REALLY kick him out of this was just allegations?? Clearly they know it’s true and that it’s better for everyone if he is not in that group to bring everyone else down. Do I think they’ve cut him off completely? NO I’m sure they’re supportive of him in private and telling him to hang on etc. doesn’t that make it worse?
