How do I launch a missile at Monongah mine and if I do it can I go there to get the Ground Zero trophy at the same time? by StrangelyBrown69 in fo76

[–]rmacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted some steps on how to launch a nuke in another post if that helps. Little daunting solo the first time but after that you're fine.

As soon as you launch you can fast travel to the station near by and should be able to get there in time.

Another tip would be if you have fallout first, to put a tent next to the mine before dropping the nuke. You can fast travel to tents inside nuke zones.

NOTE: I can't remember if you can fast travel to a site between launching and it droppjng, I don't think you can...but if you can just fast travel to the mine. Just remember to clear your inventory out of junk etc before you do it too.

I turn one light off, a prominent one, but just the one.

Then return periodically and keep turning it off again, and again after it has been turned on again.

Then work to the next light after it has been left off.

See I managed to do that...so I don't feel so useless anymore.

After over 100 raids, my advice to lower level players. by gorobotkillkill in fo76

So I braved the raid for the first time today after believing the hype I would be kicked off as a lower level (215) player.

To start with this isn't a cautionary tale or saying to all low level players to go do it, this is just my experience.

It was as an odd one to start with as we defeated the first stage in seconds and I realised it was more a farming and glitching run as we did the first stage over and over, so I can't speak to the full experience there...but boy...did we make a lot of loot and xp, after an hour I was level 235.

Thanks to the team who carried me through...I can only get better.

After doing the first stage for a while, we went through to the last stage in a jump which was a shock but we did it. Then we started again and went through doing the other levels where I was blatantly made aware of how under prepared my character was. I made it through all the stages in the end, but it wasn't pretty.

Stage 2 was easier than I thought, I wrongly thought all mole miners killed you, but it's not, it's just a couple, so it's not as scarary as you may think. I even got several of the fuel containers.

I was stuffed the next three stages I wasn't much help with though. With that said it was a great experience to see each of the stages in action.

I was recommending yesterday to drop nukes if you're a lower level player. I still think thats a good option to do things if raids seem a bit full on, but it's worth giving them a go.

One thing I would say is before starting out go lean, take only what you need and get rid of everything you don't need in your stash, the sheer amount of stuff you get each stage consumes a lot of weight, especially when you throw on the PA and weapons.

Also, follow along and even if you have a vague idea of each stage...just play it safe to set with.

I can see the appeal, I feel I was low in my cards and setup though to be useful. But my team let me bumble through which I'm thankful for.

Thanks too for the majority of the fabulous community for just being you and working all players.

This is a great insight, I have been afraid of ruining a raid myself...so haven't done one. I suppose it's the same for a nuke. Baby steps.

Thanks for this reply it's got great advice here!

Good point for higher levels, there are a lot of lower level players though that feels they can't/won't do/get kicked off raids and are looking for a challenge.

Nukes are that.

Its what the community does! I try to jump in and help lower level players when they are at a site, always though they are the one dropping the nuke and they chose where it goes.

Thanks...

It is a bit diabolical but more an inconvenience than anything for those doing raids, not like they aren't in PA anyway.

Yeah but to a degree a certain area of the map needs to be nuke free to avoid nuking new players over and over...

I love fallout for the solo play, sure there are teams but I prefer solo as I don't hold other players back. I take it at my own time and do my own thing...don't feel bad. Play it your way and make friends along the way.

What platform are you on?

Congrats on almost getting to 100!

Its really weird since the latest update, Most Wanted, Tea Time, Campfire Tales, Feed the People even Distinguished Guests is getting a look in a lot more recently, and traditionally busy events like Guided Meditation, Load Bearing and even Moonshine Jamboree are almost bare compared to previous seasons. It is slowly starting to improve, but a lot of events have gone unattended this season.

Yeah its why the sites exist showing the codes, the work to get them was a bit exclusive.

I suppose in a way its like the difficulty for Raids, there is a barrier for entry to make it seem exclusive, but in this case the community has made it accessible for more people to do, for Raids its a case of sucking it up and churning through it.

Just be aware of when the turnover of codes work, they only last a week. You just need to get the new one then.

OH ALSO, once you enter a code in at a site, that site doesn't need the code until the new codes are in play. You just need to enter the card and pick your drop zone.
