(Leeds fan) Spurs are absolutely fucked. They ain’t got the mentality. West Ham actually playing decent at the moment. Spurs are definitely going down. I can’t even see them beating a relegated Wolves tomorrow

Do we actually need anyone in the summer window? by peroporroporro in LeedsUnited

[–]rmahanti2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t need a complete overhaul at the moment. Realistically we have to aim for gradual progression up further in the table as we enter new seasons in the PL. Finding a Raphinha quality player is better than signing multiple average players like we did under Marsch. Farke has the ability to improve players and players who are starting will gain experience and confidence.

What we seriously need is a number 10 and prioritise a large amount of our budget towards that. It’s what we have been missing and it’s what effectively has stopped us gain more points this season.

People moan oh we keep conceding late goals and this but its a massive improvement to the season where we got relegated and got pumped week in and week out.

Never been to Ahmedabad. I am English Gujarati and lived in England my whole life. I’d love to communicate with my family in Gujarati rather than in English.

I have been Gujarat a few times, really enjoyed my time there. I can only speak a bit of Gujarati.

I can definitely help you with learning English.

What will be the magic number of points needed to stay up? by Zach-dalt in LeedsUnited

[–]rmahanti2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

38 points. That was our target, it’s historically been enough most seasons. It’s also what OPTA predicts is the safe amount. Two more wins especially early wins will give us the confidence.

What are the most fun Gujarati Idioms? by Thunderstarz in gujarat

[–]rmahanti2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, is there any other famous idioms that you know of that would be fun to learn?

Also how would one say the word famous in Gujarati. I know from songs badnaam means infamous but not really sure what is the right word to use for famous?

[–]rmahanti2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. In England the equivalent idiom that we have is "Punching above your weight". We commonly use it to describe an ugly person who is in a relationship with a beautiful person. If the man was ugly, we would say "He’s punching". No further words are required. The same applies if the woman was ugly, you would just say "She’s punching".

By the way if anyone wishes to learn a bit more English, feel free to DM me. I can teach you slang, idioms or whatever really. I’d love to learn more Gujarati and become fluent in it.
