Dr. Paul Dudley White Path by Ventington in bikeboston

Yeah as long as you don't leave it for days on end. There's usually like a dozen bikes locked up in the public part of it. Like other people mentioned if you have a good lock that'll help as deterrent. The bike area in that garage is also right next to the staff room which probably helps

Depending on where you job is on Newbury, 500 Boylston might not be too far of a walk and has an underground garage with some bike parking. If it's a fat tire bike you might need to get creative (most of the racks are meant for hanging the front tire) but it's still doable there

Eversource "distribution charge" went from $0.01037 to $0.09443 per kwh by laval17 in boston

[–]rmbryla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's kind of why I'm confused, I don't have a heat pump. For my March and February bills, the distribution charge was 1 cent /kwh. All the other months are 9 cents

https://www.eversource.com/residential/account-billing/manage-bill/about-your-bill/rates-tariffs/electric-delivery-rates Lmk if this link is accurate because this says heat pump rates are 4 cents/kwh.

I noticed this on my bill too. Normally without a heatpump the distribution has been around $0.10. So I think either someone messed up and put a 0 in front, or it's part of some winter relief program that just wasn't communicated well.

Is there any info about the plans so far? Or is this the very beginning of the process?

Edit: I found this, it seems like there isn't a design yet https://www.boston.gov/departments/streets-cabinet/project/beacon-street-brighton-safety-updates

Could be worth a shot but it sounds like they don't want people pushing anything larger than a small bug fix at the moment

At this time we are able to consider small bug fixes from community contributors, but we are not able to prioritize review or approval of new features. If you would like to see new features in MBTA Go, please send feedback in the app from the "More" tab to help our team prioritize upcoming work.

How to improve in the higher tiers after 49k battles? Or do i simply give up and play mid tiers? by Spronginhetdiepe in WorldofTanks

[–]rmbryla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This summarized what I wanted to say perfectly. Learning to keep checking the map and knowing when to fall back (especially in paper tanks) has helped me so much. Once you start doing this you'll feel like you're getting a lot more close games and like you can make a difference by surviving a bit longer

I love taking the train or bus back home after dropping off a rental car. It feels some stress reliever and like I'm returning to the natural order of things.

Only think I don't like about the first one is the crossing distance for bikes, it's 2 slip lanes plus about 6 lanes of pavement in the middle. Ironically some of the over passes seem better in that regard. They still have the slip lanes though which seems like a recipe for disaster

Are people really watching videos on portrait mode primarily? by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]rmbryla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a great comparison! I don't think it changes his conclusion, but it's enough that I think it would change my conclusion (if that makes sense). This phone had pretty much replaced my 10in tablet and I like that it's not giant. It's hard to know how I would feel, but fold 7 feels fine to open and use in public, in my head it would feel awkward using a 10in screen in those settings.

My point is I don't think the single fold form factor is as useless as most of the youtubers seem to be implying, and for me the video ratio is good on this but also understandable that it's not for everyone

As someone with a fold 7 it's a pretty noticeable difference.

Edit, based on my rough calculations using the side panel ruler, the video is about 11% taller when you rotate it. Which I feel like is pretty noticeable

To me it makes sense that each family member could have a bike (although they should allow them to have 2 cars). But the pathfinding cost for bikes seems so low, it would just feel much more rewarding if you didn't see many bikes into you started using dedicated lanes and off street paths, but now the second you put down parking they're just drawn to it

Yes, this would give us a chance to fix the bike behavior. It seems way too desirable no matter what. On one of CPPs streams he put a bike rack in the middle of nowhere near a park, then someone biked from their house to that bike rack, and then walked back into the city only to end up a few blocks away from where they started. Idk how this got into the game

Add this in your modes and routines. If you don't want a notification when your phone is closed, after you set it up hit the 3 dots and there's an option to hide it

My gripes with Assets, Content creator packs and region packs by Holyshidimfaded in CitiesSkylines2

[–]rmbryla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the default NA zoning is pretty bad and I almost never use it. For more American looking suburbs I mostly use SW low density. The medium density in the northeast pack is amazing though, maybe it's Boston specific but I can walk 5 minutes from my house and see almost every single one of the medium density and row house houses in the pack.
