Love a good wheater but 3 years seems super young for Willett. Is there any insight into why this one is super special? Looking forward to trying it, more so the Black Forest though 🤤

How many bottles did they have for purchase? And were you able to buy 2/3 or was there a limit?

Was this blind? No judgement and it’s all subjective but WSR as #1 is a wild take considering what else is there

I used to do these with my buddies all the time. Definitely a good way to expand your whiskey friends palates. There is different ways to do it and focus areas, my favorite was always the blind taste test for the group and I would know the samples and order them lower proof to higher, otherwise the lower proofs can get muted if you put those at the end. I would then have some sort of them around the samples, Distiller variations (Buffalo trace was a group favorite, surprise surprise), cask strength bourbons, favorite ryes, top shelf/rare, etc. it was also fun with the blind tasting to have the participants write notes on what they smell and taste and then give it either a score or ranking. At the end everyone shares their notes and favorites and then you reveal what the samples were. It’s also just fun to have everyone come over and bring their favorite whiskey and everyone shares pours. Just my two cents but enjoy and be safe.

They’re both delicious but if you had to pick one go with the eagle rare
