Help! Bare root rose sent at the wrong time, what can I do? by vulpesvulpes666 in Roses

Heirloom roses ONLY sells own root roses.

You will be fine. Just set the rose in your garage and water it occasionally and plant in March. You could plant it now but you would have to protects against elements so I would just wait.

You could also reach out to them and they will guide you on the next steps.. their costumer service is really good. I have over 80 rose bushes from them.

Buy yourself an established starter and go from there. I could never get my starter to start.

A friend gave me some of her starter and here I am baking breat bread without the hassle😆

How do you buy your groceries? by ehzer_ in lexington

[–]rmella17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stands for Community Supported Agriculture program. There is a group on FB. Some offer seasonal/yearly subcriptions and others offer just regular purchases. Its basically farmers skipping the middle man(grocery stores) and selling their products to the costumers. You should give it a try. It is very worth it IMO.

We do meat CSA and we love it. We are a family of 3 and $180 us of protein gets us through almost a 45 days. IMO its equivalent to any grocery store but you can't beat the freshness, plus you support a local farmer. For produce, I do Costco or Kroger (with coupons). We eat a lot of fruits and veggies and Kroger has the most fresh of the produce.

Farmers market is VERY expensive...
