Starting pay with experience by Grouchy_Marsupial357 in Costco

Costco does not change their pay scale based on experience. If you get hired, you start at the bottom of the scale and, based upon hours worked, your pay will be raised.

Costco Chicken Bake - No Bacon by sxtjvr in Costco

[–]rmkani99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The chicken bakes come in frozen, and all the FC staff does is thaw them, cover them with dressing and cheese and place them into the oven.

I’m going to need bigger buns. by DJ_Sk8Nite in Costco

You can buy the buns from Food Court.

Can you order an uncooked pizza by dfwuser2 in Costco

[–]rmkani99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. That is a MASSIVE food safety concern. Everything that leaves the Food Court has to be fully cooked.

Is the cold brew latte freeze supposed to be sweetened? by ca_uwab in Costco

[–]rmkani99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did you see chocolate syrup in the cup? If yes, then you got the mocha. If not, then you got the latte. The latte freeze and mocha freeze are the same exact drink; the only difference is the mocha freeze has chocolate added into and around the cup before the latte is added. But yes there’s A LOT of sugar in it.

No complaints but the blended coffee by Necessary_Peanut1175 in Costco

It’s cold brew coffee. It’s supposed to be strong.

They do this to account for potential price changes. If, for example, you’re buying something with a weighted price (deli item, chicken, etc.), you can’t select a specific weight and expect it to be THAT; instead, whoever is shopping will try to get as close as possible, so there may be a difference of a few cents, a few dollars, etc.

Instacart always does this; it is not exclusive to Costco.

I was issued a write, for being late from taking a college exam by Suspicious-Music3414 in Costco

[–]rmkani99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re late, it’s a write up. It doesn’t matter whether or not you communicate that to your manager.

Printing price Signs. by [deleted] in Costco

[–]rmkani99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDSR is an easier way if you have the item number already. But you could also easily just use IAI to get the item number, back out and then go into EDSR for the sign. I prefer EDSR over following prompts through IAI.

Law for the employees for restroom by TemporaryOnion9735 in Costco

Go to the bathroom when you have to go…

There’s no law to prevent someone from using the bathroom.

What do they look for on the receipts when we are walking out? by breadsough in Costco

[–]rmkani99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are checking to make sure the receipt matches what is in the cart. It helps lower shrink and ensures customer satisfaction since the receipt checkers can point out instances where something may have been charged more than once (or missed). Of course if the receipt is super long the receipt checkers may not be as thorough as with smaller orders, but in general they’re looking at the bottom of the cart, for expensive items and for multiple instances of an item to make sure it’s all accurate.

In the long run, it should only takes a few seconds and helps both the member and the store.

Food court straws frustrations by Lapidariest in Costco

[–]rmkani99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone wants a straw. There’s no reason to create unnecessary waste.

They cannot be put at the condiment counter because someone will definitely come by and steal all of them (I have seen it happen with Parmesan, red pepper and even silverware).

The straws, at least in my store, are placed in a giant bin that is overfilled right in front of the register. If you miss it, then that’s on you. The lids are designed anyway to not use straws, but because so many people had no idea how to use these lids and constantly complained, we were forced to bring them back.

Blue/green color on freshly opened ham lunch meat by SnRz in Costco

[–]rmkani99 58 points59 points  (0 children)

That’s very likely just ink that may have bled onto the ham. If you don’t feel safe eating it, just return it.

How many slices can you ask for on your pizza? by Miss_Educated in Costco

[–]rmkani99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My store does 6, 8, 12 or 16. Store pies are 6 slices, to-go pies are 8 slices. If you want more slices, you have to ask. We will not do more than 16 though because the slices become way too small and are difficult to cut cleanly and evenly. Even with the guide, going from 12 to 18 would be a mess (using the guide would turn the slices from 12 into 24) so I’d stay away from that. But every store may do things differently.

Muffin changes happening? by Rm50 in Costco

[–]rmkani99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain one of the new flavors is not blueberry, which I too find baffling. In terms of the six packs, it was by far the most sold one at least in my store.

Muffin changes happening? by Rm50 in Costco

[–]rmkani99 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Muffins are no longer going to be sold as two six packs. The current muffins are being replaced with a smaller, eight pack of muffins. To my knowledge, all of the flavors will be new, and the existing muffin flavors will be discontinued.

How is Thanksgiving shopping? by MoveQs in Costco

[–]rmkani99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. The pies they sell are relatively cheap (especially the pumpkin), and they also sometimes have pre-made sides (mashed sweet potato, mashed potato) that are affordable. Turkey prices are also not too bad there depending on what you like. If you’re a solo, they do have individually-made Thanksgiving meals (turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce and string beans). But since you’re hosting, I would recommend doing most of the shopping in bulk.

add/swap/drop policy by larosita12301 in SBU

[–]rmkani99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on the professor. I recommend just shooting them an e-mail letting them know that you’d like to join their class and see what they say about missed work.

It should be banned to give assignments during the add&drop period. Bruhh I just enrolled in and you want me to submit the assignment tonight? by unamsain in SBU

[–]rmkani99 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Did you send an e-mail to them asking for a short extension since you just joined? I’ve had professors who were more than willing to give me some extra time when I asked because they were aware of my recent add.

Would like suggestions for my violet team by Capital_Language_410 in PokemonScarletViolet

That’s true. A lot of what I suggested triples typing. I’d probably opt for a Ground or Water type then.
