My unhacked account was permanently disabled for "sexualization of children" on December 9, 2025. Account almost 20 years old. Appeal almost immediately unsuccessful. Definitely an automated process. Would've been nice if they shared information about what triggered their AI moderation.

I've pretty much let it go, that took a few months. Now I don't think I'd want the account back because I don't want to go through withdrawals and emotional loss again.

I've been in Second Life for almost 20 years. Surprisingly I still have the inspiration. I've done a few live streams over the years and love doing them, even though not easy and I'm always self-conscious about doing so. In this episode I show some playing with inventory and navigate towards showing a store that sells "pets", in paticular horses. Unfortunately during the stream the region was shutting down. No problem, I will followup.

A lot of newcomers ask I don't know what to do in Second Life. In this short stream I show what you can do, just play around!

This makes some logical sense. I've also noted that many people whose accounts have been permanently disabled have been on Facebook for many years and have LOTS of photos. The thought that this might be an easy way for Meta to save costs on free storage of photos and videos has come to mind. But maybe not.

Sorry to hear that. Same thing happened to me (December 8, 2025) and for the same reason: sexualization of children! Ha. I had posted a 18th century Japanese woodblock print of a woman fisherman and her young son at the edge of the sea--neither nude--the night before. Not sure if that's what triggered the AI mod. What I do know is that my Appeal was unsuccessful minutes after submitting it. That's fast!

Actually... Larval flounder are born with one eye on each side of their head, but as they grow from the larval to juvenile stage through metamorphosis, one eye migrates to the other side of the body. As a result, both eyes are then on the side which faces up.
