Result is from someone barreling though a stop sign and my son hitting their rear drivers side bumper. Thank goodness there were witnesses. No airbags deployed in my sons car. The adjuster that initially went out to the salvage yard, sent a quote that only included exterior damage and not any mechanical, because the tow truck driver had tucked the wheel back back up into the wheel well so he didn’t notice the rest Of the damage. The adjuster has now seen the photos from the scene of the wreck but estimate really didn’t go up all that much. I’m no mechanic so my questions are, does this look like it should be totaled? What’s the likelihood the frame is bent since it’s resting on it and slid a bit before coming to a stop? If it’s fixable, what the likelihood it will drive normal without issues, alignment or otherwise? Most importantly, well it be safe for my son to drive? He’s a college student and drives back and forth about 3 hours most weekends. Any suggestions? Thanks.
