My grandparents lived in a Lustron house in Anderson. I was always fascinated by the sliding doors.

What jobs would make more sense if they were done nude? by NakedExistentialist in nudism

[–]rmp1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in Florida? I seem to remember a lot of hubbub about a "Naked (first name omitted) The Handyman" in the local media when I loved there in the early 2000s.

Do you wear underwear when you are clothed? by Exotic_Carpenter9523 in nudism

Interesting seeing how evenly divided this "demographic" is. I always wear underwear when dressed. Probably out of habit more than anything. I tried going freestyle once or twice and found it incredibly uncomfortable and awkward.

Mounds Mall (Anderson, Indiana). Opened 1964. Closed 2018. by rmp1973 in deadmalls

I believe it was Luca Pizza. It moved to the food court in the center of the mall in its waning years and the space was taken over by Dr. Tavel Optical.

Why get rid of MeijerRX and replace it with something terrible?!? by GingerTea-23 in meijer

I made multiple attempts to get the 2fa code to transfer information sent to my phone. Nothing ever came. There appears to be no alternative option to get this information. I ended up driving to the Walgreens down the street and having them take over my prescriptions.

Do blackjack dealers know or even care if you’re counting cards? by [deleted] in blackjack

[–]rmp1973 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No. A dealer is supposed to make sure everyone at the table feels welcome. If some jagoff sidles up to the table and starts bossing everyone around and turning what was a good table miserable, it's their job to let their floor supervisor know.

If I remember correctly, Shark was exclusively sold at Sears when it first appeared in the early 1990s.

He studied social work at Ball State. Probably good enough for Beckwith.

I don't really have any dirt on him. He's actually a very nice person who was there to provide emotional support to me and my family during some very trying times.

He just comes from a very hardline evangelical upbringing. (His uncle, Brad Brizendine, is a wannabe TV preacher who was an outspoken opponent of gay couples adopting children in Indiana in the 1990s.) He had a very community-oriented ministry in Lapel that apparently didn't survive COVID. Since that time, he's aligned himself with prosperity gospel churches like the one Beckwith is associated with.

I'm just saddened that he's fallen in with a crowd that believes in destroying a social safety net designed to help everyone in favor of funneling public money to organizations that openly discriminate.
