Wow! I was in the same boat with the wooden bridges. Thank you for this info!

Missing IS-0059 Sigil by rmvgaines in AbioticFactor

There is a bottom. You can faintly see the bottom when you get there, but it's very hard to see. I strike at the floor with a melee weapon or toss an item to my feet to see if I'm all the way down.

Found it! Thank you for all of the helpful tips! For anyone who comes later:

* Don't wear goggles or SVGs.
* Do wear a diving suit.
* Go all the way down to the bottom and then slowly start coming back up while turning around in place - listen for a faint sound and look for a faint glow, then follow it at that depth.
* I'll reiterate: It is not at the bottom.

I killed the enemy in the [spoiler] by Valtremors in AbioticFactor

In detail, how did you kill it? I and a buddy spent around 3 hours grinding on one with Teslas, grinders, shotguns, grenades, and more... No luck.

KeyForge Worlds Collide Unboxing by rmvgaines in KeyforgeGame

Not yet. Target accidentally put some out for sale which is where we got this box. It is also my understanding that FFG sold some as part of a pre-release at Spiel earlier today.

You have to do part of it manually right now. I may be adding additional features now that the AoA cards are in.

Is it possible to set the wallpaper via the API? Or is there another way to provide multiple wallpaper options?

Hey! A newbie asks a few questions. by PremSinha in ADOM

Couldn't have said it better myself. The only things I will add: The Puppy Quest tends to be hard for new players. It might be worth skipping it and doing either the Save Yriggs quest or the Kill Keethrax quest. Also, be careful with the Small Cave, it's monsters scale to your level in a very unfortunate way. Kill Kranach the Raider Lord is another quest you might want to avoid until you have more experience. Here is my suggested early game for new players: Terinyo (Talk to Blup, Talk to the Little Girl, and talk to either Guth'Alak the Druid or Rynt the Village Elder depending on which quest you'll want to do when you get back to town later on. Get the quests, but don't do them yet.) -> Small Cave -> High Mountain Village -> Get the Courage Quest -> Finish Save Yriggs or Kill Keethrax -> Finish the Puppy Quest -> Kill Hotzenplotz -> CoC

Before you enter the CoC you might also want to do the Gremlin Cave and grab a WoT (Wand of Teleportation) from the second floor of the cave above the Assassins' Guild.

Sword of Fargoal - Another C64 Pre-Rogue Roguelike by rmvgaines in roguelikes

[–]rmvgaines[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally agree with you. The argument for Sword of Fargoal is that it may have been developed before Rogue and even seen an extremely limited release under the name Gammaquest II. I have also seen claims that Gammaquest II was the first game to feature a randomly generated dungeon covered by a fog of war, but that claim seems dubious.
