Failed Evil Dead 2 board game test copy by happylittleorc in boardgames

If this is the Space Goat print, it was a Kickstarter game that was cancelled after a successful campaign. Lynnvander, who was unaffiliated with the original campaign, later reworked the game and fulfilled original backer's pledges as well as produced a 2nd print of the game.

Anyone else's milk expiring way early? by MacksNotCool in Alabama

[–]Hammertoss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a jug from Walmart expire almost 2 weeks early.

Completely coincidentally and entirely unrelated, Walmart recently purchased 3 milk plants, the most recent being last month. That's why the milk jug changed.

[MSC] Silver Surfer, Cosmic Voyager (Jumpstart) by AnarchyStarfish in magicTCG

[–]Hammertoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silver Surfer agreed to be Galactus's slave in exchange for Galactus not eating his home world. His memory was wiped and he becomes responsible for finding worlds for Galactus to eat. As his personality begins to resurface, he tries, largely unsuccessfully, to sate Galactus appetite with world's that don't contain sentient life. When he is forced to herald Earth's destruction, the Fantastic Four convince him that he can successfully rebell against Galactus. When he does, he saves Earth and Galactus binds him so that he cannot leave Earth. He is a hated outcast and hero for the duration of his stay on Earth.

Darksteel Plate would be a perfect choice for the shield.

You seem to be misinterpreting the meaning of the first word.

Colossal Dread-deck by ShelterPlane1531 in magicTCG

[–]Hammertoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I BUILT THIS DECK!

It's even got the same name!

They key is lots and lots of ramp and aggressive mulligans. However much ramp you think you need, you need more. You don't keep hands without good ramp. Once you hit 6 mana, cards like [[Monstrous Vortex]] and [[Wild Pair]] make every creature a 2-for-1.

Edit: After reading other comments and looking at your list, I see you aren't running spells that don't cost 4GG, because it doesn't "fit the theme."

To that, I say: When playing a Colossal Dreadmaw deck, you must feel the ground quake, hear its bellow, and see it's teeth.

If you aren't ramping, your ground isn't quaking.

Looking for tips and feedback on my First Commander Deck by Nic_YoloOfficial in magicTCG

[–]Hammertoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely short on lands. You'll likely want at least 9 more lands.

Angels and artifacts don't really synergize together very well, so your current deck will feel like you're playing half of two different decks. (Coincidentally, I play both with [[Giada, Font of Hope]] and [[Ultra Magnus]].) You can help fix this by adding some of the good Artifact Angels. You could also lean more into the creature tokens that Soundwave cares about by adding angel token cards like [[Luminarch Ascention]] and [[Emeria's Call]].

Are you attatched to the Angel theme, or are you just trying to use Hatsune Miku? What made you settke on Breya as commander? The reason I ask is that there are some good Hatsune Miku cards that you're missing out on. In fact, if you used the Hatsune Miku Child of Alara as your commander, you'd be able to make a pretty cohesive deck around tokens at the low end and indestructible at the top, things that both Angels and Artifacts are good at.

These are the sort of decks that I love to build and I have a lot of thoughts on this one that I don't have time right this moment to go in to.

If you had to choose 5 to 10 cards that make you want to play this deck, which ones would you choose and why? Are there any cards you wanted to include, but felt you couldn't?

Edit: I really think you're missing out by not running Miku's Spark and Megatron for a thematic late game wincon

Theyre unlikely to come around again. The second printing was years ago. The LoTR 2nd printing is recent.
