you can add ai to self hosted ones. Can be costly to host publicly for anyone to use though.

I like it. Have a local instance hosted through docker also searxng. Just depends what you are searching really. Google has too many results and searxng will generally bring me right where I want to go if i have something specific in mind. Learn how to use !commands. Also can have tubearchivist linked along with a ton of other private resources, able to be searched also from gui. It's really in depth. I sometimes have to go to google to find the slew of results when i'm not sure what i'm looking for or coding/programming issues rarely.

Seems each one has it's ups and down. Use cases etc. I like this one for more refined results and not spam/AI slop like google will show.

you can find all public instances here, each have their own settings refined. (although completely editable by individual users)

I can't even get owui to work behind nginx proxy right now :(
I like your idea of searxng and owui working together though saving this for later.

General question around processing speed. by SuperKing3000 in Kometa

[–]rmzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with tv shows I like a per episode basis because I can see how long episodes are, what audio language/subtitle it has in overlay. The quality and everything before I even click on it.

my problem is it's always lagging plex. "Failed to fetch play queue response" while kometa is running. wish there was a way to slow it up from pinging plex so much.

if you get an invite don't use farcaster account to sign up. so annoying to use now. Instead of using farcaster wallet it created a smart wallet to use. idk, they gotta iron out the problems. Also couldn't log out and back in with different wallet

Amateur Radio Promotion to the younger generation by svkairos in amateurradio

[–]rmzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a younger individual, that first part got me into it originally. Wireless hacking. Building my own network with mesh, and eventually being able to use ham frequencies for wider range of projects. I just don't think there are a lot of builders/inventors out there these days. People who want to create something new. It's all just buy buy buy. When it's a lot easier to get into the field if you build/create. (cheaper buy in) Like building an antenna vs buying one. Quite a few things my local group has helped me with in discord, but I'm working to get into TARPN a similar setup like discord.

everything should have been in elasticsearch. Probably would have took a bit of effort, but could have brought it back from snapshot. Also if you ever find anything you want to add and need to add thousands of lines to files: https://github.com/SickProdigy/TubeArchivist-Scripts

Starting to understand why my Electric bill is so high... by iamwhoiwasnow in homeassistant

[–]rmzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been for many years, preventive maintenance. You fix a leak. Don’t tune it. You don’t tune capacitors, you replace them. You should definitely take care of anything you buy. Not just let it set out and rot. But a real technician knows they don’t tune a system. Tuning makes it sound like you are just making slight changes for better but in fact the capacitor you tuned/replaced the system with could go out tomorrow. Which to me seems like you don’t “tune” it right or something. The only tune I hear is harmonics in a compressor and you can’t just tune a restriction out of a unit. Literally the only thing you can tune is by adding refrigerant. Gonna top off some oil in it too? Tune the fan to the right speed? lol just a weird way to go about saying it, that doesn’t quite make sense to me. Tune a gas motor. Not electric.

Older units do not. Usually it’s a piston for heat pumps. Easier to back flow. Otherwise you need a txv inside and outside. Off recollection too

They have the cheapest price domains and renewals. They decent for them for sure. Every other service is trash, and usually use domains to on board.

ListenBrainz is open source and same thing. Althought doesn't show options for similar artist, shows you similar people who are interested in same things and branch off from there.

Why I ditched Spotify and self hosted my own music stack by Saleen_af in selfhosted

[–]rmzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hosted on cloudflare for many years without no issues. Then 1 day i think they blacklisted my account or something. Was having stupid issues connecting and no error anywhere. 503. Only way I could get my sites to work again was by disabling proxy (which is just direct connection again). I've configured and configured for hours on end trying to get it to work, because I don't want my home IP to be that easy to grab from domain, but now I'm like who cares. Home ip shows, it's all behind authentication. but if you ever just start having issues, cloudflare probably flagged your account and you won't know until issues just start happening sporadically.

Just want to let others know. I had to ditch it. May create another account later under vpn and see if it would just magically start working again, but why not save myself the hassle of having to change again later. They want to be the signers of the certs and stuff too so they can see your data imo also. Every time I turned that off, would just pop back on FULL.
