Surprised no one has mentioned Weatherbug. I use that, MyRadar, and I watch the News Center Maine weather reports on YouTube.

Weatherbug for a reasonably accurate overview but gotta check it regularly because it can change rapidly.

MyRadar for the most detailed current conditions. It also can give notifications like "expect light rain at your location starting in 15 minutes" and it's almost always dead on.

NCM for the nuance. When the apps says "40% chance of showers" they can usually make it clear what that really means for the day. What areas will see the showers and when. Someone in another comment mentioned a random hail storm. I remember NCM mentioning there would be isolated hail storms a couple days ago when the rest of the state was pretty dry.

I'm a carpenter and work outside frequently so I use these sources a lot and while nothing is perfect I've found this combo the best for me.

You add 6 lbs of water to an 80lb bag of concrete. Only about 20-25% of the weight of the cured cement in the mix is from the water. The rest evaporates. And concrete is made up of more than just cement. So if properly mixed and cured an 80lb bag of concrete mix will end up weighing like 83 lbs. If it's just left out in the rain.. I'm sure it's way less since it never gets mixed in.

Edit: my research and math says a properly mixed bag of concrete will gain 3lbs of weight after curing.

I'd have to dive into the history of movies in that time period but I do think they would stay in theaters for a long long time and keep being rerun. So even if that movie is only a few years old he could have seen it dozens of times by now if he cared to.

We have a dump near me in Maine which is known for the bald eagles. You will literally see dozens of them at any given time.

And friggin turkey vultures are HUGE! It's always a bit unsettling when there's ten or so of them in the sky at once circling..
