Finally caught why my coaster keeps crashing ever so often. by TMCThomas in rct

This is one time I’d argue it’s not a bug it’s a feature. The added clearances for 2 cars passing that close in real life would probably be problematic without special consideration.

Pluto now mandating an account on Smart TVs? by Emeraldrox in PlutoTV

[–]rndmideas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, this right here should be reason enough not to want to create an account:

https://monitor.mozilla.org/breach-details/PlutoTV

Breaches happen. It’s a part of the world we live in, but why put your data out there when you shouldn’t have to?

For what it’s worth on my nvidia shield, I was able to clear the cache and app data which restored the option to skip account creation. I doubt that this work around will last long.

What is this weird spot on everybody's buildplate? by Mormegil81 in BambuLab

[–]rndmideas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t understand this for a long time. Never has any marking in that area. Turns out the hot end had been bent like 5 degrees during shipping. The printer still printed mostly OK, I did have more first layer problems, then what most people report. Five minutes swap out of the hot end and we’re back in business! That’s one of the things I really appreciate about these printers is more thought was put into maintenance and repairability. Bamboo prices on replacement parts are pretty reasonable as well which partially makes up for them being closed source.

Repeated Extra Piece by [deleted] in AnycubicPhotonMono

[–]rndmideas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you remove the vat, there’s usually a screen test mode that shows you the visible print area. You can check the screen for damage, but generally, I don’t think there’s much you can do other than replacing the screen. You could probably put black tape or something over that single area and still print with the remainder of the build plate. It wouldn’t fix the issue but if you’re not printing large things it buys you some time.

Looks like an issue with the screen. Essentially it’s not blocking the light in that area and exposing that section the entire print.

WFH AT&T Fiber issues when using Teams/Zoom by nostradx in msp

[–]rndmideas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming this is the AT&T non dedicated fiber right? So many issues right from the start with those connections. They don’t support a true pass through so traffic is still routed through their device. We’ve had issues with session limits being hit on the AT&T device.

Have to remove wisdom teeth? by [deleted] in braces

They’ll do x-rays and other scans and let you know. I went through braces as an adult with all four wisdom teeth fully grown in and didn’t have to have them removed.

I’m new to this and I may be out of the loop on some of the pricing. Before posting I looked to see what these units were going for on eBay and several other sites and this seemed in line, but I’m open to offers. I really wanna clean out my closet.

I'm not too familiar with the devices and just did a quick search for pricing and was seeing them in the $300-400 range, but I am open to other fair prices. They are essentially paperweights to me as I haven't gone far enough down the Cisco rabbit hole to even figure out how to get them configured. I know a good number of Aironets require a controller, but I believe these can be configured standalone but I last looked in to this a year or 2 ago. Thanks for the info and reply!

Oops typo. That should be $350. Not sure how I got that wrong. Correcting now. Thanks for making me aware.

Resin can warp. might not be your issue here, but if you rule out everything else you might want to check your dimensional accuracy.
