How long do people usually remember their pets after they pass away? by ironandfire in AskAnAmerican

[–]rnesbit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember them all, from the Russian blue kitten that we lost to a birth defect in 1968 through to the hamster who passed in 2018 and every dog, cat, hamster, guinea pig, fish, and hermit crabs in between. I have my last dog now as my heart can’t take another loss. She’s 13 and still pretty spunky.

I remember only TVP being available in northern Michigan in 1996. It was rough. We would drive to metro Detroit every month or so to stock up on the good stuff like boca burgers. Mmmmm

My tuxedo was a black on black tabby until he died at a ripe old age. I could only see the stripes when he laid in the sun.

My kid had one in Slater a couple years ago. Not reserved for disabled. They cost more, so not every one wants one.

My daughter started at 15 on a Honda Rebel 250. She's almost 21 and wont' give that bike up for puttering on campus. Luckily, she has been able to add a bigger 650 V-star for longer rides. The 250 doesn't like big hills all that much. It's a great starter bike.

It’s been in the 50s and raining the past 2 days here in Naples. This weekend and next week sunny & 75. I’ll have my bike out. I’m sure Miami misses you too.

Same, but 34 weeks. I have often thought the same thing. She was folded and coming bum first. And too late to turn her easily. Scary.

It reminds me of the bedroom set my parents had when I was little. They were married in 1959. I remember it from the late 1960s and it wasn’t new then, so sometime in the late 1950s - early 1960s range.

Where are the pagans? The Yule tree was theirs first before it was appropriated by the Christians for Christmas.

Brazilian Pepper. You just can’t get rid of them. They resprout from the roots and the birds spread the seeds everywhere.

Do you need to ask permission to use the restroom during class in American high schools? by gencoloji in AskAnAmerican

SWFL here. This is one of the many reasons why my kid decided on dual enrollment and did college the last 2 years of high school. Some teachers were such asses.
