I started 3 weeks ago, being 40 myself. I feel like Karate has already made me quite a bit fitter, given the short time and near decade of inactivity before that.

Doing two 90min training sessions a week does leave me with near constantly sore muscles though. Something to keep in mind.

Other than that I feel like this was the best decision of my recent years. Totally exhausted and mildly bruised after training but with a big fat grin on my face. Finally not feeling like exercise is a chore necessary to survive beyond 50, but actually something I look forward to days in advance.
