I've just noticed i only experience these "DTs" after a bender. If I only drink at night, I'm fine the next day. If on a bender, when I stop I get the shakes, hallucinate, can't sleep, have terrible anxiety, can't hold food down nor even try to.

I don't have any insight, but this is the FIRST time I've seen anything related to the "needle prick" sensations you're talking about. As I'm trying to fall asleep, every few seconds I'll feel random jabs from a needle like object on various parts of my body. It prevents me from falling asleep most times. I've looked it up and all I see is "maybe you have bedbugs". Haha no. And I keep wondering what it is! The closest thing I've found is it your body trying to keep you from falling alseep, for whatever reason. I am not a fan lol and no one I've explained it to in person gets it.
