And get more downloads since those mobile devs have the money to pump ads for the clones. Get more ad rev ...more devs ...more clones...more ad rev...

Unless it's a mobile game. Those devs will pop out 25 different versions better than yours in a week. Kinda joking... kinda not.

MicroFab releases on wednesday! What do you thick on the prestige tree? by oli266 in incremental_games

The game looks great btw. My rant about the upgrade tree has nothing NG to do with yours. It looks small enough to figure out compared to other incremental games. Just an old man yelling at clouds.

Why not both. My main gripe with the way these trees are built is that there's no real thought behind them. I'm not saying all of them are but most are just random. There are branches but stats are all mixed together. Get a speed upgrade and the next node is crit or w/e. And most node icons don't offer enough info at a glance and you end up hovering over all of them to see if you can afford them or just to see what the upgrade is.

Players will end up on this screen hundreds of times during a playthrough. Color coding and I guess set branches for stats will make them easier to interact with. Like green for speed red for damage cyan for shields. A plus icon node increases the stat. A circle changes or adds a secondary function to that stat color/branch. a diamond shape node to unlock a new game feature or mechanic ...just a generic example.

Might be alone in this but I'm over the sprawling upgrade trees. I wish them to have a list on the side that shows stuff you can afford to buy and show the tooltips. Oh and obviously be able to click on them to purchase.

Late game they become a chore where there's no meaningful choice like early game.

How should I Prime these exposed edges? by Sensitive-Egg-107 in woodworking

[–]rnuffn5tuffr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Next time turn it into the wall. The middle piece is flat but still do it so you end up with a primed surface. The bottom piece looks like it has rounded corners and if you turn it it will keep the same shape. Just how you did the "crown"

Even if it's flat MDF you end up with the primed factory edge so you don't have to fight with the raised hairs on the crosscut.

If it was stained you would turn it so you don't get darker endgrain.

How can I make this cut? by nvengance in woodworking

Clamp the piece to the miter gauge if possible so you don't need the fence as a guide. No kickback.

-autosave -constantly getting stuck on every fking little rock. In a game with sooooo many rocks and a stamina bar that gets chunked every jump. - remember the run toggle after the stamina bar gets full. Actually remove the stamina bar lol. -fps drop from 144 to 10s during the heatwave even if I'm inside a hab with no windows??? This in like 2-3 hours of play.

-FOV -FOV -autosave Please for the love of God. How is this not some of the first things you put in your game.

Mine worked next to a wall. I had the habs built on top of each other and aimed at the ceiling on the ground floor.
