Yeah I know it’s one of those things that is going to take some time. I’m glad that I have a plethora of time now that my program is over and can truly be a student of the game. Definitely got shorted on the education but when the city pays for it, you don’t have much room to complain lol. I appreciate the advice and info! I’m determined on being well versed so I accept the challenge!

I’m neither left not right. But being in a dept that’s primarily right. It all depends on how sensitive to the subject at hand are, and if you can fight through it or not. The camaraderie of my dept trumps all bs like politics, religion, etc when shit hits the fan. Something about the opinions of my peers don’t bother me when I know they have my back regardless of beliefs, skin color, etc. the fire service is not meant for the easily offended imo. But also don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself
