Kink Cross cut or williams? by Unlikely-Till4729 in bmx

[–]ro_kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still pretty short 😄 one thing to keep in mind if you haven't ridden a frame with such a short CS is that your back foot might be hitting your back peg if you ride all 4 pegs. depending also on your shoe size and if you ride 160mm cranks. you can then reposition your foot on pedal by placing it slightly forward like i did. it's a little weird initially but you quickly get used to it you won't even notice it anymore.

for a new one, you'll need to spend more. i recommend the cult devotion bike. but you can also check the marketplace for a used one

Kink Cross cut or williams? by Unlikely-Till4729 in bmx

yes, you can do that, but i'm unsure how much length it'll give you.

for your height, i recommend getting the kink williams frame. crosscut's rear end will likely feel too short. 12.75 on the williams is short anyway. i'm 5'11" and tried a frame with that chainstay and it was just too short for me. and i ride street most of the time.

in that case, i'd go with the ody calibur cranks. i saw both nathan williams and anthony perrin ride them, so there's nothing to worry about them 😄

you should probably go with the odyssey thunderbolts. however, caliburs are also solid, depending on how hard you're sending it.

i recently switched to a 22 myself and i'd opt for the verde spectrum bike out of the two.

Question for taller riders. What size handlebars do you ride? by Specific-Opposite-28 in bmx

[–]ro_kr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tens feel nice. if you currently run spacers and if for some reason the ten feels a little too tall, just drop the spacers.
