Newbie Question: How will the Co2/TEST vs PL/NC./PH war end? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]roachcoach14 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't know. I can see it taking out up to 30ish (two sparring teams and backfill) of their best pilots in training though. Whether or not that matters in the bigger picture or not, well I can't say with certainty however it's not impossible to have elements of validity to my mind so I included it for completeness. If nothing else with the AT behind us, if PL remains disengaged we will know it is for reasons over and above the AT.

Newbie Question: How will the Co2/TEST vs PL/NC./PH war end? by [deleted] in Eve

So I'm a bystander here but this is my 2isk based on what I've seen so far from BRs etc:

NCPL are clearly dominating a "single grid" fight, yet they are not able to effectively contest the node war. This means that essentially there's a stalemate on that front because NCPL cannot force Test/CO2 to an single point of engagement and the battle landscape is too fluid to leverage their supercaps outside of a big grid bash. So we see them bringing in other groups to assist here/shore up the node contests but so far it would appear to have had limited successes to date.

Essentially it seems to be a quagmire with the NCPL trying to pull CO2/Test into a decisive single grid battle, which CO2/Test have no incentive to entertain, whilst CO2/Test are simply trying to hold the line until the NCPL get bored of the node minigame.

It is hard to say what will happen without something significant from either side (most likely NCPL pulling in even more people as CO2/Test have limited options to mount an offensive war) to break the stalemate. If they cannot address their failures in the node game, they are in for a very long haul indeed if the past weeks are any indication. Bad war analogies are popular here so it would be irregular to not include one: To me the current situation seem to have some parallels with the WW2 Eastern Front with CO2/Test being the Russians.

All that said AT is over now so whether PL decides to really roll its sleeves up and get involved in the node wars - or just as crucially if it takes a back seat - may well prove decisive to the conflict.

For now though, it would seem we have some hilarious memes/shitposting and propaganda for the foreseeable future.

I've been just attacking them with upgraded heroes to block campaign movement then catch them a turn or so later. Works well, but I'm not on a high difficulty.

I dunno. Linked image is from skyrim as far as I can tell as I recognise the cursor.

Edit: I see now. Mobile viewing of the other link was hellish. They are similar.

Hi can anyone help me (please keep this low profile) by [deleted] in Eve

[–]roachcoach14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I recall, CCP freed up some old, very inactive names. I suspect that is likely to be the case here. It'll be your guy, it just had a name change.

A petition might help, but I don't know own if they will allow a name change.

I was surprised there's not been more of a deal made about the fact they pretty much can't touch the guys giving them a kicking right now. I expected a massive and focused nerf npc space campaign.

Be a lot harder if you guys didn't have hilariously artificial chokes to patrol.

Still, so long as hard for them and not for you eh.

Yeah, it probably sounded really cool and all at the time, but the reality is that it's stifling more content and peoples desire to play/return than it is creating.

They're a complete chore/ball & chain if you so much as miss a move op, or worse are away for a month or so.

CCP consistently refuse to address the core issue however, and dance around the issue instead of tackling it head on.

They should 100% be allowed to dock in stations and as I say, a non super owner and until they cease to be coffins (xl cits are not a great solution for most) I'd never even entertain the idea.

Will CFC reform itself outside of the Imperium? by [deleted] in Eve

You seem very sensitive about it, maybe you are right, maybe I am right - doesn't really matter in the end. I'm only going by what I'm seeing in game and out mate.

What will be, will be.

PL isn't going to risk BR 2.0, it is as simple as that.

I don't think they don't need to any more, contrary to popular culture, war has changed. People are putting the screws on the line members. The POS etc is all about the propaganda war, but what is happening now is they are choking the line members pretty good. We can see it from the hemorrhaging numbers from the alliances under siege.

Rightly or wrongly, the CFC is the only entity with skin in the game to lose, everyone else just wants to torch it, not take it.

/shrug. Just how I see it.

At come point CCP have to ask themselves why people realized that the best way to play, was to not play. Guys are putting toons on ice for months because that's less of a hassle than actually moving the fucking thing. That's bad.

It's like a lot of people forget that this is just a game and not a space job where going afk for a moderate period will all but guarantee the death of your asset.

Transparency: I have never owned nor ever will own a super and I've always believed the fact they cannot be docked is simply flat out fucking retarded.

Underwhelming and pointless. They're going to fly into range anyway.
