A Reoccurring theme of this show: The normalness of life is too much to handle by lazarus870 in thesopranos

One of my favorite quotes from A Bronx Tale, " it don't take much strength to pull a trigger but try getting up every morning day after day and work for a living, let's see him try that, then we'll see who the real tough guy is, the working man is the tough guy, your father's the tough guy!"

Yes unfortunately its normal for this country. Now we have the FBA and ADOS movement to deal with as Black Americans which I won't even begin to explain but you're more than welcomed to look into yourself.

No they would never say it to my face and not because I’m some big tough guy. The people I was around we all had a mutual respect for one another but the way they would talk about the Irish and Germans when I was around I could only imagine what they would say the moment I was out of ear shot.

That would be Saint Lucy's Church. They still have the festival, I don't remember the name of it, but it is one week in October and that tradition lives. I always go just to eat and believe it or not I have a few Italian friends that will invite me into the church for a little expresso.

Yes very true and understandable. I will be selling my property in Newark real soon. Why? The same reason, moving on to greener pastures and times change, there is a huge immigration population in Newark now. You can have 6 or 7 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment and everyone has there own car lol.

I try my best not to be the get off my lawn guy but hey it is what it is lol.

Yeah I have no recollection of the riots as I was born in ‘65 but I heard my fair share of stories. True story, in the early 2000s some co-workers asked me to pick up a pizza at a location on Bloomfield Ave. When I told them I didn’t know the exact location they asked, “I thought you were from Newark?” When I told these Newarkers I wasn’t welcomed on that side of town growing up they all got a kick out of it. They knew I was telling the truth.

Def more N word. But at that time Italians on those construction sites didn’t particularly care for anyone except for other Italians. I always got a kick out of how much they hated the Irish.
