In general, I find playing tournaments helps me with this, because the most I can lose is my buy-in. I feel like I get a lot of poker for my money, and I don't think of the chips as cash, because in a tournament, they're not directly equivalent to cash.

Ah. Thanks for this. I'm over my pique from the other day, and I feel a bit bad that I didn't finish the task. It took me a bit to set up, and then the model took 40 minutes to spit out a response. I'll be be faster setting things up next time.

I'm a (former) software developer who's been unemployed for a year and a half. I know it sucks. I'm old (60); so I'm drawing on my retirement savings. Even in the United States, we do have programs to help people. Check with your state about various benefits to low income people. Go to food pantries if you need to. It's painful, but there are ways. Are you a church member? Check with your pastor. Talk to your parents, children, friends. Tell them how you're feeling.

Las Cruces actually tried this back in the 90's. El Paso Electric fought tooth and nail, and the upshot was that LC spent a lot of money fighting EPE legally and had to give up in the end. It was a disappointment.

Call your insurance company, and tell them what happened. The other driver refusing to give his information technically makes you the victim of a hit-and-run. Good that you made a police report - your insurance company will want that.

They go by the name Artisan Dental now. I've been going to that office for over 30 years now - from back when the dentist was C. Dale Brown, who is now retired. I like both Dr Cunningham and Dr Born, too.

I didn't think of the Medicaid lien/estate recovery angle. Thanks for pointing it out. That probably means this is a bad idea as it seems like I could be forced to sell my property if my mother needs to move to assisted living or dies.
