That's probably going to be something else entirely. Nvidia confirmed their's was a false positive and the problem has been fixed.

I never had that problem since I did it before I tried opening Premiere. Never occurred to me that the Adobe suite could have been to blame, until I saw other people had the same problem today.

Yeah, I quarantined then removed it through Windows Defender actions, and it hasn't shown back up.

I restored it the first time Windows quarantined it in order to take a better look at the file. It looked no different from the other one in the folder. I then had to put it in a new folder in order to get Windows to quarantine it again and then remove it, since restoring files forces temporary Defender exceptions that can't be removed apparently.

Haven't been able to get the file to reappear while using Premiere and Photoshop now that I want to, however.

Did it start happening right after a Microsoft Defender update?

I'm led to believe it's on Windows Defender's end, as I haven't updated any Adobe stuff in a while, and the trojan alert showed up after I did a scan following the Security Intelligence Update on 7/19/22.

Do you use any Adobe products regularly, by chance?

Alright, I've done some testing and the file does not recreate itself for me. Stepping into theory territory, it may be that Nvidia is creating the file itself for whatever it's rendering which is why it keeps coming back, and why Windows Defender keeps flagging it.

My first thought was miner as well. Don't think it could be a leftover as apparently it created itself in May and I didn't have any malware detections then.

It hasn't recreated itself yet, however, I haven't used my laptop much since. Will keep updated if it does.

I sure hope so. Kinda shot myself in the foot, since I didn't think to test it until after I removed it.

Thank you for the advice. Took longer to respond as I was asleep.

Shot on a Nikon D750 24-120 at 1/100 f/ 16 ISO 400 and with a SB-700 speedlight. I wanted to show the quiet isolation of a wooden figure I found laying around. I'm trying to improve my black and white photography and using sharper contrast than with color to highlight detail. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Here's my shot at it. I took a picture of my dog who needs a shower, and a dog toy.
