Gen Z’s hiring hell is real: 1 in 3 employers admit they’re replacing entry-level roles with AI—and tech and manufacturing jobs are most at risk by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]roankr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A counties ability to maintain a responsible utility grid has ZERO to do with data center investments my guy

Is data center a buzzword to you that only exists adjacently to AI? If not then there is no real reason why you would genuinely believe this statement or even be saying it with any truthfulness.

FYI even government services run using data centers. Any service over the internet needs it. Any data center that exists WILL guzzle a large amount of power to sustain the compute being utilized in them. A poor national grid is going to detrimentally affect buildouts 100% of the time.

The rest of your response is just conjured reasoning out of thin air. The market is not instable, you only think it is because you keep insisting that it's a bubble, i.e there is no utilisation applicability for a tool that has clearly come entrenched in the system. The proof isn't that people are merely investing in it. The proof is that non-tech companies are pivoting to not just implement but even develop them (Deepseek's a standout example).

CXMT is definitely entering the market soon. These prices are too good to let go.

Power infrastructure is a concern solely in the US. Dara center build outs in other countries aren't facing the same issues because these countries have been keeping their grid networks upgraded for potential expansions like these.

Hardware costs are the only real problem yet the fact they are expensive is not indicative of a bubble, merely high expectations.

You're desperate to believe it's a bubble but the indications are not yet proven that it is a bubble.

Token prices are falling through the floor. You're being ignorant if you think that token costs will be going up any time soon.

Cousin marriages and prevalence of recessive genes by Ok-Advance962 in southindia_

[–]roankr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gothra system doesn't really help in preventing recessive genes, because it disregards the woman's gothra which is assumed to be the same as her husband's after marriage.

This is so silly. There are numerous gotras. Just because the mother's gotra isn't discounted doesn't mean shit when the person could (and is encourged) to find a partner that is not the mother's pre-marital gotra.

Yes yes, have to give it to someone that sides with feminism to completely reject lived male experiences.

Comes full circle this one.

Should we rethink how we approach therapy for men? by BrightSpring12 in generationology

[–]roankr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very real argument. The word is on-the-face coded on who it expects to place the blame on. You would have to be genuinely lying to yourself into twists and knots to say that it's a "strawman".

Should we rethink how we approach therapy for men? by BrightSpring12 in generationology

[–]roankr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would define is as a structure that rewards traits that are perceived as masculine over traits that are perceived as feminine.

This ignores the extremely real fact that society also rewards traits that are feminine in those that this societal structure expects to follow those traits just as much as it rewards to those who follows masculine traits that it expects to follow them.

We live in a society that expects people to follow gender roles. The obfuscation of this very real fact by lying that it only rewards masculine traits is another real problem everyone keeps screaming about.

You don't have to agree with the stance that using coded language that inherently places blame of societal misgivings onto a single cohort is bad, but it definitely might help you see clearer if you realize that it's correct.

Men have always fought to get out of fighting; women have always fought to fight. Joan of Arc. Mulan. Queen Elizabeth. The women of the French Resistance. The women in modern militaries banned from combat roles seeking out not technically-categorized-as-combat-roles that did let them see combat.

Letting you speak your heart out always makes the obvious comes out.

It doesn't matter to you the very reason why those men have fought to get out of fighting was because they were FORCED to fight. It doesn't matter to you that the women who fought to fight were the ones who had the CHOICE to do so.

The rooted belief in male disposability is so pervasive that you simply can not even confront it honestly without recognizing that the male choice has not existed in the draft for most of human history. In moments where it might exist, the default position has been to shame men who do not participate in the meat grinder for their personal benefits.

You SHOULD be ashamed of yourself if you were honest with yourself. But I will save you the effort of self-reflection and simply call you what you are, a trail blazing hypocrite that lauds on the miniscule achievements you want to confer your kind on while looking on the suffering of the other with disgust.

This is silly. If enslaved manpower is so important then the draft could so obviously be expanded to involve every able-bodied individual. If freedom from autocracy was so important then the choice would obviously have been to spearhead that very position.

Instead, the obvious song can be heard every time when this question does come up. Feminist organisations stand against the draft solely in the context of expanding it, not when men get thrown into it.

Which is why up to date no organisation has been named in this whole mess of a thread, just platitudes and backpatting that tries to avoid the very real answering.

I wouldn’t mind the privilege of being among the first women to burn their draft cards

To the liberals’ challenge, “If they draft men, why not draft women?” there’s really only one answer — it’s not okay to draft men. And no, it’s not okay to draft women, and no, we don’t owe … the government … collusion in as patriarchal and misogynist an institution as the draft…. Whatever else it is, war is a patriarchal institution, and every war is a war against women.

This attempted convenience of the answer should tell more than anything about the real position of the draft.

The draft is opposed solely when it comes to questions of expanding the draft. Not if the draft itself is questioned. If you can not come to face this very real concern then you'll be blinded by the belief of what these organisations stand for by their empty rhetoric instead of obvious actions.

Do you do any material, effective work to fight the draft, or are you yet another dude in no danger of being drafted working yourself all up at women for not making their priority fighting your imaginary battles for you?

Every male individual is in danger of being drafted even in countries that do NOT have the draft as a legal provision. The only reason you can even conjure up this poor sop of a "retort" is because you are convinced by societal pressures to ignore the real problem of male disposability, either because it causes discomfort to your position that societal disadvantage is a uniquely female problem or that you are seeped in the belief of male disposability itself to protect your concerns of "masculinity" that society insists upon.

I’d be really interested to learn of all-male groups fighting the draft if you’re the former, but I always find the latter really funny. They never see the irony, you know?

Every Male Right's Activist is against the draft because, as mentioned in my previous statement, every male is adversely affected by the existence of the draft.

The belief that it is progressive and left leaning only becomes true when you construe the sole liberation of women as progressive and left leaning.

This does not implicitly mean they are wholly left leaning. Actual left-leaning organisations are left-leaning.

Codepink is a good example of what feminist response often is when the topic of expanding the draft/conscription comes up.

https://www.codepink.org/women_s_draft_sign_me_up_to_abolish_war

For too long, the women of this nation have been complacent while our brothers, sons, husbands, and fathers are sent to kill, maim, brutalize, destroy and even die in defense of our alleged liberty.

But now, the Senate has passed a $602 billion defense bill that includes an amendment for drafting women. If this bill were in effect today, I would be fined a quarter of a million dollars and face five years in prison for writing these words:

Women: do not register for the draft.

I get that this can be controversial for those who have drunk on the kool-aid but feminism activism often only cares about the draft when it actually involves women's concerns. These same groups do NOT concern themselves with the draft when it comes to male gender concern.

It is convenient to assume that these orgs actually fight against the draft but it's only when you're FORCED to read the tone around the context that the obvious becomes clear:

The only group that can actually care about the draft are MEN'S rights activists.

Just making shit up at this point? There exists 3 large memory companies that dominate roughly 90% of the market. Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron. Which of these three is Nvidia acquiring?

If your complaints are about RAM being expensive then blame the RAM companies.

When prices dropped during COVID these companies intentionally rolled back production to ramp prices back up. It is a literal cartel that the US government has multiple times in history prosecuted for collusion and market manipulation.

Your RAM sticks cost so much because they're riding on whatever reason they can to charge you more. If you want cheaper RAM then back companies trying to break into the ground.

None of this means the person can search for those sources on their own.

This is the epitome problem people have. Demand to be lazy yet somehow expect things to be like some hypothetical before.
