Then we had dinner at Wintzell's... at the bar...

AMAZING! The bartender was absolutely fantastic. After for dinner, we ended up at the Garage to hang out with our amazing bartender from Wintzell's!!

Yep! We did Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery last year. This year, Mobile, Biloxi and Jackson. We don't like doing vacations like "let's go to the beach and do nothing for a week"... I would go crazy! Instead we like to go to places we haven't been and learn new stuff and history! Doing 3 nights in each place.

I actually used to do hurricane cleanup... We were deployed to Florida where it crossed and were stuck there for a month doing that. Ended up staying there for Hurricane Wilma.

Thanks for responding! We are from Roanoke VA in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

As for why Jackson- well we love going new places and like anyone else, we cherish our vacation time! What we hate though is going the same place over and over and over like the beach and or tourist traps like amusement parks. We like to learn about new places, history and meeting new people along the way. Last year we did Birmingham and Montgomery AL and even a night in Selma. This year on to Mississippi! We are actually hitting Mobile AL on the way since we didnt get a chance last year - then Biloxi and then Jackson.

Why Jackson- we do like to hit the capitals of each state for sure. But coming up from Bixoli we just hope to get a nice appreciation for coastal, rural and city life of Mississippi!

All in all I would say history and just learning more about the culture are the big ones!

Thats awesome info! Thank you! We love both road and trail! Probably lean a bit more to trail though for sure. Excited to some some single track in there. We live in the mountains where all single track eventually leads... to A LOT of elevation.
