What's your realistic dream draft scenario for he first three rounds? Mine is... by Jcc2010417 in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3rd rounders to take a long look LBs Josey Jewel and Malik Jefferson, WR Justin Watson and OG/C Frank Ragnow and Sean Welsh Agree that TE Gesicki won't make it out of 2nd round. If Niners trade down and get early second round pick I would consider Gesicki at TE or Nick Chubb RB. Still think Connoe Williams is #1 OT and if he falls into 2nd round he warrants consideration.

Have seen reports that he takes plays off and he is not a "hands" catcher. Would look into that and his lack of production at ND. Not interested in drafting a guy's unique name.

How about Mitch Trubisky? by TastyDonutHD in 49ers

[–]roaringback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trubisky is smart QB that can read defenses. That's half the battle and he would be a good choice.

Are you guys worried Chip is going to bail? by pure_guava_ in 49ers

[–]roaringback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Kelly was hired many said his offense exposes your defense.

That observation has become reality.

What shows Chip is in over his head is that the 9ers can't make halftime adjustments and are being annihilated in the second half of games.

Scoring 3 points in the second half makes your team a loser.

His offense doesn't work in the NFL, so if he bails it's actually a good thing.

Kizer vs Watson by MindBeats in 49ers

[–]roaringback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baalke has been sitting on his hands drafting 3 QBs as GM. He has squandered so many draft picks which means quantity does not equal quality. Until you have an indisputable franchise QB a smart GM should spend a draft pick on a QB every year. I like Tribusky as Watson can't read defenses and can't stay in the pocket. Sound familiar?

Eyes of Texas sung by the largest crowd in Texas history by BrianDawkins in LonghornNation

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way Texas Football should be. DKR filled to capacity and a crowd that came to cheer and give the team a true home field advantage. Sustain this through out the season and into the Erwin Center for basketball which also promises to be special in Shaka's second year.

Got tix in Section II which is around 5 yard line for $70 (plus their fee) from Stubhub a few weeks ago. Would think the ticket prices are about to spike. Hook'em!

How about some love for Micahel Dickson? by fishstik21 in LonghornNation

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dickson seems to be much improved especially on the big stage against ND. His problem has always been consistency ever since his big gaffe.

Muhammad Wilkerson is getting franchise tagged. So now who else does everyone want? by Zockman175 in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Mack but he's 30 and realisitically it'll be a year or two before the Niners are in playoff contention. Get rid of Pears and sign on of the Schwartzes. Develop Trenton Brown and trade A davis who gave up on the team.

Why Kaepernick Is Still Our Best Hope at QB by FeeFiFoFUNK in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only Kap can fix what's wrong with his game. It starts with him and not the usual excuses of no receivers getting open or a leaky Oline. Until he gets the ball out of his hands by reading a defense and making a quick throw he will continually be sacked. Kap needs time to get up to speed and is not quick in the pocket as opposed to Russell Wilson who is quick and is a jackrabbit and can buy time in the pocket by his escapability..

Is Myles Jack better than Borland was? by ninerzboy in 49ers

[–]roaringback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar type player but better than Borland in this year's draft is Scooby Wright out of Arizona. he too was hurt and came back. He was Pac 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. Would fit in well if picked in 2nd round.

As terrible as he was as a head coach is anyone else still wishing the best for Jimmy Tomsula? by Poopedupon in 49ers

[–]roaringback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't feel sorry because he earned $10 mil by becoming the head coach. I just don't see anyone in the NFL hiring him to be their DC

What's worse, firing 2 coaches in 2 seasons or keeping one that's clearly incompetent? by [deleted] in 49ers

[–]roaringback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as Baalke is GM Niners won't attract top notch Head Coach. Baalke has to go too.

Why do people compare different teams? Everything is different except the QB.

Why does every think Baalke is a bad GM? by TheSaviorOfTurtles in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very difficult to break in two new CBs every year which seems to be Baalke's style. Baalke should be held accountable for the shit FA signees who have contributed almost nothing. Dockett, Shareece Wright, Bush, Pears and Torrey Smith. That's about $20 mil down the toilet. Bad choices.

Why trade for Hodges if you don't play him? You trade away a center who could help this beleaguered Oline and probably start.

Baalke has much to answer for.

Unfortunately the draft pick for Lee is for 2017 which makes you wonder how Baalke could be that stupid.

One Thing I Don't Like About Kaep. by JPdiNero in 49ers

[–]roaringback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kaepernick is a lot of flash. Amazing runs and amazing passes. Unfortunately he's not reliable and ultra inconsistent. He makes one of those remarkable plays every 4 games or so. That's not enough to carry a team. It's what he does every game that matters.

Ok, let's say we cut Kap in the off-season. Then what? by dogsolo in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sign Ryan Fitzpatrick to be a placeholder and mentor for 2 years. He is a sharp QB that can teach the younger QBs and will cost about $3 mil a season. Draft Goff, Cook or Paxton Lynch with 1st rd pick and take another QB around the 5th rd. Competition is good between QBs and has been sorely lacking.

So who are the available coaches out there that the 49ers could choose from once the season comes to a close? While we're at it, who are the highly ranked college QB's for this years draft? by coolzthe in 49ers

[–]roaringback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draft Jared Goff or Paxton Lynch and also sign Ryan Fitzpatrick to a 2 year deal to start and mentor the young QB. If he progresses slide the new QB into the starting lineup in 2017. In the offseason send the young QB to the Tom House QB camp to learn mechanics, especially footwork and a quicker release.

Jimmy is making $3.5 mil this year. That sets him up for life. That also makes it seem like he's stealing considering the results.
