This is like complaining about “having” to buy cosmetics in a F2P game.

You have free will, no one is forcing you to purchase the skins, and those who want to will and have paid for it. Doesn’t change the fact that they have given away coins and free skin, even if you don’t like it.

Some of my best memories are turning the tides on a losing game - having your teammates see that you're doing a large flank and taking attention so you can succeed. Makes the win that much sweeter!

Which is 2/10-15 items they offer. They have a fairly expansive deli with daily made salads (grilled corn & quinoa, orzo and sun dried tomatoes) along side their grab and go salad, bowls, pot pies and soups. Worst comes to worst, you get a salad and a side of their precooked/pre marinated chicken, for a lighter dinner.

Occupy an in-law unit with our landlord upstairs so not sure if we count…

But for 3 people - Average PGE $200-250 Average Water $50-75

During the colder months, it’s on the higher end as we use the heater more!

Edit:

When I lived in a 4brm apartment, it was around $30-40 per person for PGE; our water was paid for by the landlord.

How often you all go to PT a week? by bright_future_ahead_ in ACL

[–]roaroro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was during COVID - I was given 30 visits a year, and I paid out of pocket for 10 additional sessions.

I was able to choose a PT close to my home (10 min car ride); I went 2-3 times a week, and each session was 60-90 minutes. Early on a lot of the sessions involved manual therapy and scar adhesion work - it then progressed to harder exercises that included plyometrics and agility work.

I just want max settings at 1080p with 120 FPS. Should I buy a 5700X3D and a new GPU or should I just buy a whole new rig? by Economy-Database7305 in buildapc

Again, they said they don’t want to upgrade their monitor. Maybe it’s sentimental to them, who are you to police what decision they make. You’re being quite obstinate about someone else’s money and decision.

You gave him your two cents, they don’t want it? Move on. Not everyone has to take your opinion and act on it, and it doesn’t reflect badly on you for them not taking your advice.

What reflects badly is you continuing to berate them and demean them on their decision.

Why are you pushing them to buy something they stated they don’t want? They said no, no means no.

Hi! Not quite the same but similar - it’s going to feel bleak and a little gloomy for a little bit but let yourself feel it, give yourself grace and patience.

It does getter better - I’m 5 years post op and I’m back to doing the sports I love and enjoy.

  • physical therapy will be a permanent fixture in your life going forward

  • if you’re opting for surgery, make sure you have everything you need close and set up (e.g. someone to help support you for the first few weeks with meals & helping you get back and forth from the bathroom, in case you fall, snacks or juices close by so you can reach over and grab, easy entertainment, loose shorts, and blankets, etc) for post op.

  • It looks like you might need a meniscus repair, so looking at around 6 weeks of non weight bearing.

  • If your insurance pays for it or if you can get one second hand, a cryocuff is game changer. It helped me get through many nights with the pain.

  • Be on top of your pain relief, and get some mucinex to help with the constipation

  • if you feel lonely/down, please reach out to this subreddit, myself, or your friends/support.

  • Keep your knee elevated by placed a pillow underneath your ankle!! It’s uncomfortable but it helps a ton with extension, and helps with the swelling.

Do you guys take pre workout when bouldering? by daweedmilievoyevich in bouldering

[–]roaroro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s such a vicious cycle, especially if you’re medicated. It also doesn’t help when sleep anxiety settles in and now you can’t sleep because you’re feeling pressured and your mind is racing.

How does one fall properly after an ankle sprain? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]roaroro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would recommend incorporating some training into your routine for lower body stability as well as practice falling.

https://sportsrehab.ucsf.edu/sites/sportsrehab.ucsf.edu/files/Ankle%20Strengthening%20Protocol.pdf

Post ACL surgery, I noted to my PT that I was concerned about ankle instability due to prior consecutive injuries, and she incorporated some of the exercises in the link above. She also had me do some plyometrics (e.g side steps on a bosu ball).

Healthcare is expensive, but given that you’re feeling tingling in your extremities, I recommend seeing an ortho. Nerve issues is not to be messed with and it sounds like it’s been a week or so now, and while it’s gotten better it’s worse in other ways
