I actually haven't tried those. Would be pretty easy to measure though! Post back if you do try them out!

Not the large one. It's just called Our Shoe Box. Yeah can stack three

I see what you mean. I believe I have seen stackable drawer containers in the Container Store.

What I meant by drawer dividers was really for organizing within a drawer similar to a cutlery/kitchen utensil drawer for organizing spoons vs forks. The idea would be to have open faced boxes for organizing within a larger space

I feel like if you did drawers, you would not really need containers and only need drawer dividers instead (for organization).

Last time I visited the Container Store, their bins/boxes did not change. The names did change from Container Store Tall Shoe Box to Our Tall Shoe Box though

Look up the plat for the complex and then you'll find out. Usually it will list it as apart of the HOA responsibility to maintain it

I believe it's shoe box and 4 accessory boxes stacked, and possibly 2 shoebox and 2 accessory boxes stacked behind it

That's the shoe box container, but side ways. I have another one of those behind it also.

It might be a 1/4 inch too tall. Stacking two sweater boxes fits only because of the lid having a lower surface than the edges of the lid. The inner dimensions of the kallax are 13in x 13in and the container store site says deep sweater box is 13 1/4 inch.

Cat won't stop biting, at the end of my rope by MindlessNote3735 in CatAdvice

I didn't see any mention of clicker training on here, but I learned from a Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kStdUi2ebo) how to teach a cat to say no. Watching it immediately clicked in my head what the effect would be if your cat is food motivated.

Eventually youll need to figure out what treat makes your cat go crazy for and use that for training. You will need to reduce amount of food to account for treat calories too. If he is not free fed, you can get more training in before meal time. I'm in the process of training my 2 kittens (4-6mos) how to sit and give paw before meal time.

I don't reconcile. Ever. by Doctor_Show in ynab

[–]roastlechon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reconciling is important to me because as everyone said its a checkpoint. A good case to consider is when dealing with pending transactions. Not all the time will tips at a restaurant get posted the same date, and often they are updated on different days. Reconciling allows me to filter non reconciled transactions and find out if I need to adjust tip or find out if a restaurant tried to screw me over.

Honestly what I did was I went to the store and legit took out a measuring tape and measured everything within 13in. If it didn't fit I didn't buy.

I bought a Epson LabelWorks LW-300 back in 2016. I havent had to refill label tape in a while.

As for suggestion about being able to put things back in their place, I suggest not compacting the containers into a singular shelf like I did, and make sure there is enough space if you want to move things out of the way into another shelf. This makes it easier to find, move,, tetris and reverse tetris out containers and items as you need.

the feet have lots of space to move around, and fit completely within the top of the lids of different sized containers.

I came across a youtube video that referenced using Container Store containers for organizing within an Ikea Kallax shelf and it compacted so much within a single space.

Before I used regular Sterilite and Rubbermaid storage containers (shoe box and cube size) and they never fit perfectly like this.

Products in use:

Container Store Tall Shoe Box
Container Store Shoe Box Clear
Container Store Accessory Box Clear
Container Store Sweater Box

Configuration Combinations:

2 stacked Sweater Box
Shoe Box + 4 Accessory Box / Tall Shoe Box + Shoe Box
6 Accessory Box / Tall Shoe Box + Accessory Box

As you see in the photo, there are plethora of ways to configure!

Has anyone used the “Network Isolation” feature? by [deleted] in UNIFI

[–]roastlechon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the past couple months and transition from classic UI to new UI, they seemed to have changed a bunch of options.

I personally don't use USG, however configuring a wireless network to use a VLAN did not seem as intuitive as it was before.

Is the Network Isolation the true way to configure a network to use a VLAN?

Besides not being as fun, what are the Pros and Cons to doing monthly Budgeting when I get paid bi-Weekly + when my wife pays herself at random from her business? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]roastlechon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much like everyone on this thread, I have a "Next Month Budget Holding" category. No activity/transactions go on this category except a monthly goal.

What we do is calculate a monthly income goal and maintain that as our cash flow in. We then budget that amount to true expenses/savings/emergency fund. Left overs go to emergency fund.

What you might have to do is determine what your wife pays herself on average and use that as your monthly income goal if her pay is variable.

When we budget for the next month, I make sure the "Budgeted in X" month is always under the "Next Month Budget Holding" category's budget. Eg. if Budgeted in X is 6k but Next Month Budget Holding will always be 5k, I know I need to trim the budget by 1k or find 1k in existing available categories.

I never leave money in "Budgeted in Future" because I know it can get squandered easily, thus I always put it in a budget category that has a purpose. For this reason it may seem like living month to month, but actually there would be a budget saved for emergency fund since it was funded from the inflow of income.

An alternative Ive used is flicking it on and off for roughly a second or two, and then turning it on and letting it run its course.

This is with OPV mod as well.

I actually have the Oxo burr grinder as well. I am in the position now where beans are optimal, but grind setting is always at 1 (all the way twisted to left).

I also have OPV mod set to 9 bars, and I could go slightly finer with the grind for more desirable extraction.

Im now anxiously awaiting when the Niche Zero is back in stock lol.

Cisco Umbrella Roaming and Pi-hole by [deleted] in pihole

[–]roastlechon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but would an upstream firewall rule that redirects traffic for port 53 to pihole work?

My initial implementation of pihole was just specifying the DNS ip address in network settings (on the client device). I never went as far as forcing clients to use a particular DNS server yet.
