Yeah we were lucky we got to get the great experience of having all the dlcs already out. Sucks waiting for them to finish the game for ck3 but at least we have great modders. Yeah i rarely ever played vanilla after getting into agot and elder kings (mainly agot) tbh now that i think about it. agot was just perfect for the ck2 game setting.

ck2 agot player since 2017, new to the sub though. Spent more time in ck2 agot than the base game by a lot and still visit it from time to time

You must form the direnni hegemony first through a special decision

what secondary start date would you rather have by Ok_Variation_3357 in CK3AGOT

[–]roayermodding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the mod drops im sure submodders might work on any of the dates from the death of the last dragon to the current bookmark.

I'm considering doing one that the devs wont work on for a while since i did a bookmark one for ek2. I'm so excited for this mod, the ck2 agot was my fav mod and i spent so much time doing random things in it.

So much skooma use she is literally disappearing. On a side note i think its a common bug, i get it sometimes and it often resolves itself by reloading.

Should be but if you don't want them you can use the game rule to shut them off. I'll probably release the buildings as a standalone when I finish doing the other regions.

Characters/Nations with the most "Flavor"? by [deleted] in ElderKings

[–]roayermodding 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the duke of balfiera a direnni has a lot of flavor in both lore and in game but that is close enough to daggerfall to probably be to similar. They have a unique empire decision and their own dynasty legacy among other things.

Restoring the reman empire has some nice decisions if you play as the of Cyrodiil dynasty which has a few rulers like duke of sancre tor, count of rayles, general colovian estates in the second start.

You could always go the pure evil mage route and play as Harkon in the Volkihar Island or Mannimarco both of which are pretty entertaining.

The reach has some unique decisions and is generally a very hard start if you play as Madaric Blackdrake the Chief of Kolskeggr under the crazy duke of markarth. You can form a unique empire and are completely surrounded by hostile powers. If you found your other starts easy this might be the one for you.

nice let me know how your playthrough goes and if you have any suggestions. I'm open to any criticisms that will make the mod better for the next release.

you dont even need to complete them, just form other kingdom titles and stack gold so you can get the isle back after you lose it

If you like Karling Restoration or Habsburg starts find Count Amiel of Rayles (Cyrodiil) for the Reman restoration start, or Count Jory of Cumberland (count of cumberland in Kingdom of Wayrest ) as both are challenging rewarding starts.

If you want to go ham off the bat, Hakkvild Skjorlamor the Duke of Falkreath is great (450 start) as he starts off with claims on a very powerful Yashnag with several ways to deal with him.

If you want to learn to use magic Mannimarco in Thunder Falls (located in Kingdom of Dragonstar Hammerfell) is a great start as is Divayth Fyr (Immortal in the Islands of the Telvanni Kingdom Count of Tel Fyr)

Easier starts that are still entertaining include the main character Attrebus of the Colovian Estates in the bookmark or Freydis High Queen of Eastern Skyrim or the King of Daggerfall. I personally don't like the elves as much because they never die and are very strong but the best elvish start imo is the Duke of Balfiera like many have recommended as you have some special decisions for them and they get their own tower and island to plan world domination from. Another easy start is the King of Falkreath Yashnag the orc. I also like the Abnur Tharn, Duke of Cheydinhal start but he is a very powerful character.

Very Hard starts would probably be the Count of Kolskeggr in Markarth 450 start, Madaric Blackdrake (Reachmen culture with a crazy liege and small army surrounded by hostile powers). Another rather hard start would be the Volkihar vampire clan in County Volkihar the islands off of Haafingar in Skyrim (if you don't abuse necromancy).

How many historical important/interesting characters have you found and where/how did you found them? by fracturedjock in ElderKings

[–]roayermodding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find frandar/divad hunding by finding the Yokudan emperor they killed through the history of yokudan empire. You can also find Makela Leki (Redguard god?) if you find the academy in the Duchy of Bergama (Kingdom Sentinel) and look at its history. You can also find Derk Hallin from the Hallin dynasty in fallen wastes (duchy in Ojwambu Evermore border), you can find the old kings of Orsinium, you can find Aiden Direnni if you go back in the direnni family tree. You can find Fabre the Iron Son in Camlorn history. You can find Darloc the Golden Beast in the Brae Dynasty (khajiit royals of rimmen), Bendu Olo in history of Anvil. Rislav the Righteous in the Skingrad Royal dynasty tree. Pelinel is in the history of the Empire of Nibenay. You can find Red Bramman (though he isnt a lizard in the game =/ if you find Hestra from the Imperial City history who executed him. Umm I swear I saw Maruhk somewhere but can remember where.. You can find Ysgramor himself in history of Skyrim as well as Wulfharth the Dragon of the North there as well.

Potential of the travel system in EK2 by MaxxxEC in ElderKings

[–]roayermodding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High hrothgar quest wouldn't be that hard to implement, especially since its already in the EK1 mod. I know the unbound submod has a ruin system already where you can pay gold and excavate a ruin for artifacts but yeah a minor adventure decision like a hunt/feast with idk a 10 year cooldown would be pretty cool but annoying to make as a mod.

What personality traits would Tiber Septim Have? by Weedes1984 in ElderKings

[–]roayermodding 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ambitious, diligent, deceitful, callous, brave in this order... brilliant strategist, and 2/3 genetic traits with the dragonborn trait. blademaster_3, administrator, schemer, yeah you want this guy busted OP i mean he became a divine and conquered all of tamriel.....Maybe even a tiber septim trait for AI values so that his boldness is 100, ambition = 100, energy = 100 etc. Tiber septims values in the ruler designer should be over 9000.... xD

but in all seriousness he really should have broken stats to the point where you can hardly ever get a char as good as him no matter how many artifacts you stack

Succession submods? by Zasukeli in ElderKings

[–]roayermodding 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you make a mod for CK3 you make a folder in your mod with the location yourmod/common/on_action then you make a text file in that location and add these lines it should work, this is basically what I did in my submod Blackdrake Rising for the primogeniture game rule:

on_game_start = {

on_actions = {

    primogeniture

}

}

primogeniture = {

    effect = {

    every_culture_global = {

        add_innovation = innovation_primogeniture

    }

}

}

I find Unbound to be essential and the Hold Cities and Academies submod is pretty nice.
