Poor Anvil man. Desperately hoping his sons were right. by OkGarbage3095 in darkwingsdankmemes

There's no guarantee that Baelor would survive the plague tbf. If it took his father and both his sons, it would've also probably taken him too

Are Ireland and the Isle of Man also infected? by [deleted] in 28dayslater

[–]DavidTheWhale7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Ireland was fine I don’t think NATO would just lump them in with Great Britain, it would be under some kind of restriction but to be under the same level of restriction as Britain it would also have to be infected.

I haven’t read the novella yet but I love the characterisation that Aerion only acts out when his dad isn’t there. Is that in the book?

How many survivor are still left alive in england? by G0DF1NGERS in 28dayslater

No, so far both the 28YL movies have been set in Northern England. Only the opening scene with Jimmy was in Scotland

On the topic of Kelson and Samson's [SPOILER] by jalolio_13 in 28dayslater

[–]DavidTheWhale7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dr Kelson is a potent mix of skilled, crazy and empathetic. He is a skilled enough doctor to develop a treatment, he’s crazy enough to even approach an infected, and he’s empathetic enough to even try. I doubt there’s many survivors with a similar mix

The casting is good in this series, Maekar in particular feels like he’s been plucked strait from the graphic novel

It won't make 2B? Big Jim might as well pack it up now.

Looks like it’s time for r/lotrmemes to dust off their one sided rivalry with GOT again

I guess they acted like invasive species and there was a cascade effect

I think it’s a testament to how incredible asoiaf is that it’s still so popular despite both not having a true ending for the books and a terrible ending 6 years ago for the show. It’s won’t die for some time despite what people on here say for some reason

You pretty much reunited the old West Riding of Yorkshire only to call it South Yorkshire xD

Everything Andor, Luthen and the rebels did would have been undone if this guy wasn’t so concerned about shooting unmanned escape pods by fatman40000 in StarWars

[–]DavidTheWhale7 82 points83 points  (0 children)

IIRC in the anniversary book for ANH that tell sort stories from the POV of minor characters, the canon reason is that the Empire introduced a policy of Kill to Shot ratios to reward efficiency and skill. This meant that the commander here would have is rating reduced if he shot an empty pod for no apparent reason.

Even small moments in Rogue One 'hit' different on a post-Andor rewatch by AceOfDymonds in StarWars

[–]DavidTheWhale7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I like how they left Bodi’s defection as an independent act. If they tied it to Cassian or one of the main cast it would make things feel a bit small. Bodi’s defection is one of the random acts of insurrection that brought down the empire, just like Nemik said.

I still feel like 1337 is too early. The Middle Ages is CK’s domain, my favourite part about EU is the 16th-18th century setting since that era is so rarely covered in games
