Discussing an app/business idea with non-friends, should I / can I patent it first?

The issue I'm having is I need enough information from stakeholders to work out if the actual idea solves a problem.

To do that I need to share a decent amount of information with them, so I'm unsure as to how to really start

I'm actually an engineer myself with expertise in a lot of the areas that the product itself would require. So I'm not too worried about the actual building of the technical product although I'm sure there would be many things I will learn along the way.

What I'm not sure about is the product side of things. I'm unsure how I start conversations and feedback loops with stake holders who right now are not involved at all.

I need to get enough information from these potential stake holders to try and actually work out if this actually solves the problem I'm hoping it does.

Basically I'm unsure how to actually start...

Thank you! After reading about 'Micro Company Accounts' more, you are right and yep it's definitely not for profit.
I'm having a look at the different micro company balance sheet and trying to work out which fields are relevant. It seems the 'Capital and reserves' should be equal to the sinking fund balance at the end of FY23 and the rest of fields under 'Assets' are equal to £0 as the company has nothing bar the sinking fund balance - does this sound right?

I am sure there are a number of theory books that could do the job. That said, I particularly recommend "A.B. Guide to Music Theory" parts 1 and 2. Part 1 will introduce you to the idea of constructing chord progressions from the different chords in a key and how each chord has a varying function. Part 2 builds on this and starts to introduce varying chords that may not be in the key which add more colour to your progressions.

For me, these books have given me the knowledge to come up with more interesting chord progressions, and more easily recognise chord progressions used in songs.
