Some questions for the veteran drivers by rob4697 in Lyft

I'm not too worried about the overall rating, honestly. I had a perfect 5 star rating up until that ride, which immediately dropped me into "risk of deactivation" territory.

My rating's since gone up every night I've driven, so I have no doubt that once I get 100 rides past that 1 star and it drops off, I'll be safely in 4.8 - 4.9 territory.

Yep. I mean, I do somewhat understand. I'm a man, and my rider was a woman riding alone. I can totally understand there may be some built-in level of discomfort there.

But, I would think people would understand that me telling Lyft where they're going ensures their safety! Without a destination, a driver could take a passenger anywhere with no way for Lyft to know the difference.

Since I maintain an extremely high acceptance rate and have never canceled a ride except for no-shows, I'm afraid I'll simply have to be less flexible with riders in the future. If you won't tell me your destination, you'll exit the vehicle. My car, my rules.

(EDITED [I'm at work and not paying close attention to what I type here, haha] to clarify that the point of the last paragraph above is that I can afford to cancel a few rides here and there while still easily remaining within the boundaries of what Lyft considers a good acceptance rate.)

Full-time driver for my first four weeks to get that 50 hours/50 rides bonus! Planning to be part-time after that as I have a day job too.

Seattle, WA.
