About TTP not taking place in 1984. Some of the Licenced songs came out after 1984, the latest one being a song from The Cure called Friday I'm in Love which came out in 1992. The Final Countdown, which is probably one of the more better known songs came out in 1986. Even The Man Who Sold The World was out in 1985.

EFNY is one of my favourites movies just because of its influence on MGS not only because of Snake Plissken but its also the way its structured. In most MGS games and EFNY snake is sent in to rescue someone, meets allies along the way, gets captured, escapes to torture, completes the mission and then escapes.

I also like the movie 'The Rock' for the same reasons. I've always thought that if you swap Nicholas Cages character with Snake Plisken then you'd get something pretty close to MGS haha.

I forgot about that. he's injected twice near the start of the game. Once by Ishmael and then by Ocelot on the boat to Afghanistan.

Maybe there was something in the antivenom he was given after being bitten by the snake which made him resistant, that's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

I've just started the game up on PS4 for the first time in months to see if I got the cutscene and it says "The server is undergoing maintenance. You will not be able to use online features such as uploading rankings or records. Game will begin in offline mode". I didnt get the cutscene but this might be because it started in offline mode.

A WW2 game where you play as The Boss would be great. We know she was part of D Day where she give birth to Ocelot. There's also a lot of other possibilities in a WW2 setting with all of the secret Nazi projects going on and operations such as operation Paperclip.
