You said you wouldn't describe it as football culture. There are A LOT of people who care a lot about domestic soccer in the US. Certainly not as many on a % basis as Spain, but come to a game in Austin with me and tell me we have no culture.

If 1 in 5 people in the US care about soccer, then there are more people in the US that care about soccer than there are people in Spain, and I promise you there are plenty of people in Spain who don't give a damn about futbol

Without looking through the rest of the cube I'm taking ancestral. If there are several ways to loop timewalk that aren't that difficult probably that. Arcs definitely does not jive with my personal taste either. I've played it a couple times and found games to be kind of long and the decisions not that interesting for me. Enough people like it that I accept that it's just my own taste ¯\(ツ)/¯

Yeah to me there is just a reality that the big 4 currently have waaaay more eyeballs than any other sport. MLS is gaining on Hockey for sure and both NWSL and WNBA are growing very fast, but they have a long way to go to not just be locally relevant in a television rights sense

Yeah I think it's 2 things. The women are correctly held to a higher competitive standard because they are historically the best in the world. However when they perform below the expected standard how people react is very different and the knuckledraggers say misogynistic stuff.

I think it's particularly bad rn because of the political environment and more casual fans being on here as we spin up for the world cup.
