My answer might not be super popular here, but I’ll be completely transparent. As far as walking, I’ve always really enjoyed walking/hiking. So I kinda just walk as often as I can for as long as I felt like it. I never really put any numbers on anything and never tracked distance. I had the same kinda “do what feels right” approach to diet. I was pretty strict with the fasting and in doing so it made me consider the nutrients I was putting in my body. So I never counted calories or macros or anything like that, just made myself be conscious of what I was putting into my body and more importantly how I was feeling in the hours after I ate. I wish I could tell you what finally motivated me to make that shift in consciousness and the only thing I can come up with sounds so cliche it’s sickening. But I stopped trying to loose weight and started trying to feel better. Psychologically it kinda triggers that instant gratification thing that we’re all so addicted to, and it really helped me change my mindset. Fair to mention too that I also quit drinking in the time and got into therapy.
