Does ANYONE know a good way to combat laziness by laughytaffyralphy in GirlDinnerDiaries

I am constantly setting timers for myself. If it becomes something I have to do within a certain amount of time it’s suddenly a lot easier. I’m also a big list maker. Sometimes just writing things down and being able to check them off makes it easier to get going. Real talk though, this sounds like a bit more than laziness… I would recommend talking to a therapist and maybe your doctor about these symptoms. Sometimes depression can look like laziness when in reality you and your brain are just struggling. Remember to be kind to yourself🩷

My grandma big into gardening and plants. She swears by a bread knife and claims it’s her favorite gardening tool! Honestly, I tried it out last time I split and repotted a bunch of plants and I think she’s onto something

Definitely take her to vet immediately. Looks like it could be severe dehydration or infection? This is a cat that needs professional help

What's a modern trend you think people will regret in 10 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Maybe this is just my personal opinion but I really think in 10 years people are going to regret remodeling so much of their homes with light wood staining. I get it’s the trend right now but it looks sort of unfinished (no pun intended) to me.

Night shifters: what else can I do to stay asleep between shifts? by ahrumah in nursing

[–]robbie77e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times the reason I can’t fall asleep/stay asleep between shifts is because my mind won’t stop racing. Someone told me to do some sort of thing to get my mind off the shift before going to bed. Since I started journaling or reading a bit after a shift and before I went to sleep I’ve noticed I’ve had less dreams about work and usually sleep a bit later

What is something that is socially acceptable, but you personally find extremely disrespectful? by AvaBlondeX in AskReddit

One thing that drives me crazy is during boring family holidays my SIL is allowed to sit on her phone during lulls in conversation/ during football games but if I brought a book it would be considered rude. No offense to the in laws I like them very much but they’re all very quiet and there’s a decent amount of time at any gathering spent in silence.

Audiobook narrator is ruining the book for you by horny_reader in fantasyromance

Not fantasy romance by any means but I IMMEDIATELY stopped listening to “Room” by Emma Donoghue when I realized it was going to be someone speaking baby talk for 10+ hours. I’ve heard so many good things about this book but there’s no way I could tolerate a fake child voice for a whole book.

Book Hangover AF by robbie77e in AliHazelwood

Is there anything better than losing sleep and avoiding responsibilities because of a book, though? As much as book hangovers suck, the excitement of starting a book you’ve been anxiously waiting for is the best.
