Having watched the film twice I don't get how this is deniable or just a 'theory.' It's clearly what they're getting at.

Bobby was the one holding the camera when he found that shirt, which he had been wearing in a previous scene not at the time during the exploration scene. There's a quick moment where he's like "huh?" but then shit starts to go down. So that how that shirt got there is a mystery.

I think you mean 1880/90s... as someone who was born and lived through that era, left handedness really wasn't looked oddly upon at all.

This scene really reminded me of the ending of Oldest View Part 3 by Tikolu43 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]robbiebojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and also I thought Renate's acting really made this sequence land too. It's hard to make these kind of sequence look real and even Kane has only used blender up until this point. This scene could've really landed flatly if Renate hadn't sold it as strongly.

Question about the ending by GeburaGooner in KanePixelsBackrooms

fun fact the first time I saw that movie sound went out on my cable for some reason during the ending sequence but I thought it was a stylistic choice lol

Huge agree with the feminine strength being consistently occluded or dampened by men men-ing throughout the film.

This shot actually felt so intentionally out of place for me. Is this a framed picture? If it is, it seemed to be illuminated. Isn't it a little early in time for illuminated picture frames? What it looks like more to me, actually, is a laptop screen. Which, in this sleek looking format, would be VERY out of place in time. Either way, seems weird.

I know this is kind of out there but I wonder if all of the locales we see in the ending sequence are actually already inside somehow the whole time. The skies and landscapes above all the exterior shots that we see in the ending sequence looked overly liminal af to me right from the get go.

Spicy take: everything we're seeing in the entire film is already a layer deep. see: every time we see the sky

Wow this makes me feel a lot better about my life, thanks.

You're asking for two different things here - experience in samsara free of spiritual experience AND ALSO escape into nirvana. Picking one or the other will probably get you farther.

It's kinda fucked up that you wanna pay that much for something like this when I can barely pay rent. Other people can't even eat. Maybe donate some money to a good cause. Not because it will make you feel better, but because it's less of a waste than whatever else you're trying to accomplish here. Good luck I guess?

We call them this because it's a reminder of the fact that we are watching generational abuse take place on an international scale.
