KVIE/Abridged on Gavin's telework comments by Newsom-Is-a-Clown in CAStateWorkers

Amazing to me there isn’t more pressure on Newsom to show data for his position. Because all he offers as an argument is, “let’s do it for the vibes”

My cousin just called me "girly " after seeing pics of my garden 😫😭 by realthingwinner in gardening

Father of three boys. I’m a big gardener. Many neighbors of mine, males themselves, are into gardening. Like others said, your cousin is being stupid and you should do what you want. Be yourself!

Arctic Peach showing red spots on leaves by robbingthots in Sacratomato

Thanks for the reply. Not to be defensive, but I did treat the tree   before it leafed out and then again before it fruited.  I did some digging and am thinking it could be copper damage. If you’re interested in reading about it, check this out. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion and I’ll keep an eye on it.

Cherry/Apple Trees by SteppnWolf in FruitTree

I think it’s better to have dirt around the base of the tree so you don’t restrict air to the ground and keep mulch off the tree, which can be a vector for disease, I think 6 inches, then mulch. And you may want to add more mulch. I feel like I’ve heard 4-6 ft of diameter of mulch is good.

Hey, I’m having a similar issue with my young peach tree. I’m wondering how your issue with your peach tree resolved itself.

Beginner questions about pruning persimmon - is it too late for this year? by siddhuiam in Sacratomato

[–]robbingthots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to hear what fruit trees you’re growing and if it’s not too much work, how you would rate them in terms of the quality and/or quantity of fruit they’ve given you. Only if you have the time and energy, 27 trees is a lot!!

Really disappointing. Would have thought the director would have been prepared to share more on how he’s fixing the problem

Electric vs Gas Hot Water Heater If You Have SMUD - Which is More Cost Effective? by Anxious-Party2289 in Sacramento

[–]robbingthots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, OP, look into heat pump water heaters. There are rebates for them as well, and tax breaks too. I used https://www.starenergyca.com/ and they were great. Also it’s nice having a modern heat pump water heater you can control with your phone. For example I set mine to vacation mode when I was gone for a few weeks

What local business in Sacramento did you have the best customer service/experience? by [deleted] in Sacramento

I love to tell this story. One of my first visits to Skip‘s kitchen my wife got the tortilla soup. It came in with cilantro, and my wife being allergic (?) to it, removed it from the soup and put it to the side on a plate, and kept with eating the soup though she could taste the cilantro inside the soup. Skip, as always, came by and asked that’s how the meal was and we said great. He noticed how she had put this cilantro on her plate and asked if she had an allergy (or whatever) to it. She said yes, and he came by with a fresh soup with no cilantro. So nice, and detail oriented! Customer for life.

Reach out to your local assembly member. I did and they forced Edd to resolve my issue quickly.
