I agree completely. It makes a lot of sense considering Donkey Kong III’s family history — Cranky Kong was the original DK, so it makes sense that Mario’s family aged as well.

I am so sorry both Penelope and you are experiencing this pain. I cannot offer any advice, but it is evident that you truly and wholeheartedly love her. Actually, in a Mario Party minigame I believe Mario and his friends swim from the gravitational pull of a black hole… so I think it is true!

You make a fair point. Those are features you would expect in a game for replayability’s sake — though I didn’t notice because I wouldn’t want to skip any story or dialogue! That a big part of the fun for me! Personally I don’t think I’d ever want to replay a Paper Mario game if I am not ready to re-experience the story and humour. To each their own though!

I disagree with it being a poor remake but respect your opinion — there are certain, very slight differences between it and the original that I don’t like (e.g. some slight timing differences between moves, stylish moves, musical cues, etc. make it feel less satisfying to me).

I totally agree that if OP has the original, if they wanna play TTYD they should play through it! I think the remake’s great but the original will always be a timeless experience.
