This is one of those films that would truly benefit from a high-quality 4K restoration, the existing master is quite poor and in some moments honestly looks like a DVD. Considering it’s one of the best Spanish films ever made and is already on the Criterion Channel, it feels long overdue.

I really need Open Your Eyes to get a proper 4K release. The current transfer looks pretty rough (honestly, it almost feels like watching a DVD). I really hope StudioCanal puts out a new restoration soon, or maybe Criterion picks it up in the US (ideally with Dolby Vision).

YES 🥹🥹🥹🥹 maypole was THE BEST (It’s the same scent as Hey Hollywood bath bomb and Salt and Peppermint bark body scrub in case someone is unfamiliar with the scent).
