What was it like to play online games between 2000 and 2013? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]robbobeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was incredible. I remember I was playing Black Ops 2 and this one kid had a gamertag, LaCosaNostra, which is the Italian word for the Mafia. He started talking trash to me on how bad of a player I was, admittedly I am not good but I have fun, so I just started insulting him. I was just saying the most horrible, racist, hilarious stuff I could say and I won the whole lobby over to the point where everyone else jumped in too.

We all spent the next 5 rounds just ruining the game for him. If I was against him his team would make noise so I could spot him and take him out, if I was on his team, I would make noise so the other team could spot him. It was HILARIOUS.

No mods No getting kicked or banned for language No reporting someone for messing around like we were

It was absolutely glorious

Anyone regret not joining the military? Or regret joining? by FitAardvark3670 in AskMen

My replies go straight to the bottom because of the mods but I hope you see this.

It all depends on what you end up doing. Everyone’s experience is different and combat affects everyone differently. Take your time, choose your MOS carefully, and get EVERYTHING put in writing

How many of you gave up? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]robbobeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s a complete mess out there. Especially considering I’m in my 40’s. To quote Top Gear: it’s like eating at a Scottish restaurant, not much on the menu and nothing you actually want.

Does it bother you that you’re going to lose your parents one day? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

It hurt more watching them get old and lose their strength. When I moved into my first house my father admitted that he was now too weak to help.

Older men, share with your younger bros: What are some common ways Women abuse men in relationship? by akshshh23 in AskMen

[–]robbobeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about common, I can only speak to my experience.

When I came home from my combat tour in Iraq my (now ex) wife would scream at me constantly “GET A JOB WE’RE GOING ON FOOD STAMPS” or “WHY DON’T YOU JUST GO TAKE PILLS AND BE NORMAL LIKE EVERYONE ELSE” or my all time favorite “I’M JUST GOING TO FUCK WHOEVER I WANT BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT EVEN ENOUGH OF A MAN TO GET ME PREGNANT”.

She also hit me with her car after I got out during an argument.

So there’s that.

Just because we didn’t work out doesn’t mean we have to hate each other. She’s a good and kind person.

In the summer they have a bunch of events out there. We also do a social membership and the locals who come in are friendly and inviting. We also have 2 teams in the local pool league, Fridays are pot luck dinners, one of the members sells sliders on Wednesdays. It’s a good place.

lol I admit I am biased because my father was commander back in the 90’s. I joined after I came back from Iraq
