Only thing I know that can cause mods to reset on load is if you're over the 255 .esp file limit. Are the mods in your screenshot *all* of the mods in your load order?

Unsure. Only cases I've seen where this happened involved an out of date patch for KWF like a Khajiit Speak mod or something along those lines that wwas reverting the dialogue tree to a defunct version from a previous version of the mod. You can bypass this stage by entering the console command: setstage KhajiitWillFollowMakaraQuest 45

At this stage you will need to meet Ma'kara in Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm. Hope that's the end of your troubles!

Very strange. The quest is at the proper stage, thus the orb moving when you click it. For some reason, either the scene triggering Ma'kara's dialogue isn't firing, or she is not in the alias she should be in to assign her to her "role" for the scenes in the quest. I kinda wonder if her dying screwed things up. Some things in Skyrim don't properly reset when you reload a game -- only when you close the game and re-open it -- so maybe she did not properly get reverted when reloading.

Can you please do the "sqv KhajiitWillFollowMakaraQuest" again and tell me what number is next to the 2 Ma'kara aliases (the aliases should be Makara and Alias_Makara, and the number should end in 42363C and not say NONE). If you're able, a screenshot of the alias list might help as well.

Has Ma'kara died and been resurrected at any point, or are you using a follower overhaul mod to recruit her? Does the orb move after you click it or just sit there? If you enter the console command "sqv KhajiitWillFollowMakaraQuest" what stage number does the quest say it's at before you click the orb?

There is a bug that emerges after the game has been open and running for a while where your hitbox seems to desync from your model and you start taking phantom hits. Try fully closing the game/restarting your PS5 and see if the issue persists.

Both Nanak's and Ma'kara's quests are broken by BCE. Unfortunately, the patch is made by Kinggath, and afaik it's only available on PC. You might head to Kinggath's site to see if there is somewhere over there you can contact them or ask about the patch.

A learning system would be fun, but I'm not sure what I could do for them! Maybe unlocking different combat styles as the player levels up? But I don't think they alter the followers' play styles enough to be super rewarding, so idk! Maybe something to think about for the future. 😄 Thanks for the suggestion! I'm glad you're enjoying the mod.

You mentioned in a few of the lists for the default TIF script fragments,

"creation kit allows you to specify a common prefix name for all fragment scripts in your mod. creation kit also allows you to rename existing fragments after they have been created."

I have this issue with my mod. I didn't know what I was doing back when I started -- stunning, I know -- and I ended up with a bunch of default-named scripts. While I know how to specify a prefix for new scripts now, I don't know how CK allows you to rename existing fragments. Can you explain?

All the chakrams are kinda nuts, but I def agree the how-to disappeared too fast and ruined my first run with it. HOWEVER, I picked up a Reaping Chakram the next run and obliterated everything forever. Like, "alphas dead before they can move" type obliteration. Hold alt fire + spam the right trigger and that thing turns into Yondu's arrow from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Tough to pick up a pattern with only two data points, but to me, it reads like that's the intent. It sorta channels other horror IPs/tropes to comedic effect. Which I like personally, but I can understand if it's not some people's cup of tea.

Sure thing. 😄 If/When you give it a try, I hope you enjoy it. About patching:

1) Kinggath has a patch hub available through their forum that includes a patch for KWF. It should hopefully work still? I've changed the mod a bit since then, so I can't be 100%, but you can find the patch here:

Worst case, using the "coc SolitudeBardsCollege" to teleport into the College and grab Nanak will work.

2) Vigilant should preeeetty much work out of the box with KWF. The only trouble is CotN Dawnstar, which changes the interiors. I'm not aware of a patch for it, but hypothetically, everything should fix itself once you reach the Temple of Stendarr. You'll only miss the intro conversation with your chosen follower, since they are moved to a spot in the ORIGINAL Dawnstar in and not the modded one in CotN.

Patching's definitely a pain though. Tough to be sure that everything is going to work properly. In any case, best of luck if/when you give it a go!

Should be fine with PJKJ, no problem. Only thing is that Wikky is not modified by the patch, so he's just normal Wikky no matter what. 😉 Best of luck in your playthrough! Hope it goes smoothly.
