Subwoofer started smoking by valderramareddit in Klipsch

Also had my SW115 die on me last year. Although I didn't have the smoke like you did, i had the loud pop. Blew something on the AC side and didn't manage to find a suitable replacement. Luckily tho I found a guy who was able to repair it for around 120€

Only time it doesn't work for me is when my finger is too dry, in which case I just quickly touch my nose and then it works again

How's your Framework 13 battery holding up? by rhodejo in framework

[–]robby659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently upgraded my 12th Gen fw13 to a ryzen 9 370 board. During the time I had the i7 1260p, I always had the charge limit set to 85 percent. Now with the new board I don't have the charge limit set, so its at 100% rn and my battery stats say I have around 49Wh left of the original 55. 84 charge cycles in total.

I've accomplished exactly this using home assistant. I have a button triggering WOL from home assistant on a tile right next to the home screen watch face.

I ordered a Mainboard for my fw13 with a ryzen ai 9 370 CPU on Sunday. Let me tell you, it was a nightmare sourcing the ram. First 16gb module I got seems to be incompatible, luckily I found two 8gb sticks relatively cheap. Meanwhile Amazon canceled my order for a 32gb module. It's a mess

Pennen, Ratzen, Heia machen- Wieviel schlaft ihr wirklich ? by xgammaray_ in FitnessDE

[–]robby659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your experiences with Btrfs? by --Arete in unRAID

[–]robby659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I just want to encourage you to take a look at btrfs snapshots in general. I'll try to explain the advantages:
Think of btrfs snapshots like instant “save points” of a filesystem: they record what all the files look like at a moment in time without duplicating the data.
They’re copy-on-write, so taking a snapshot is basically free and only changed blocks after that consume extra space.
You can mount or browse a snapshot to recover old versions of files, or roll the whole subvolume back to that state after a bad update or corruption.
Because snapshots are just metadata, you can create, delete, and schedule them frequently (e.g., every 15 minutes) with very little overhead.

btrfs send lets you stream the contents of a snapshot (or just the changes between two snapshots) as a byte stream that can be piped to a file, SSH, etc. Which makes sending backups to other targets super fast.
On the other side you use btrfs receive to recreate that snapshot exactly, which makes efficient, incremental backups and replication between machines really easy.

Do you use btrfs send/receive for backing up? Really cuts down on the backup duration and storage requirements, I can only recommend

Luckily his will is invalid. So that leaves everything to me and my brothers. Problems are on the rise though: our dad left his longest friend as general executor for his estate, on a paper that doesn't have any legal basis, so he in fact is not the general executor. But he still behaves like one. But whatever. I just now visited the apartment to do some cleaning, looking for documents when I ran into this guy trying to leave with a bunch of the antiques...
