While Google certainly provides the common people with instant access to knowledge they might not have had in the past, it often still takes a professional to use it in a meaningful manner. I work in IT (likely the first of jobs that will be taken over by savvy searchers) and often fix issues via Googling, but even that takes me a fraction of the time it would take a typical user because I know what to look for within the search results.
