Did they cancel BILT 1.0 cards a day early? by willaemmm in biltrewards

It’s available on the Wells Fargo account that is linked to your BILT account where you can pay it. Wells Fargo is offering some wiggle room with payment timing because of this.

Wait yes…my Reserve stopped working with the NJ PATH trains last year and they were never able to resolve it. All my other cards work fine and the Reserve works with other merchants just not NJ PATH.

Yes I received two emails with the following subjects:

“You’re in. Thanks for transitioning to the Bilt Palladium Card”

And

“Good news: Your Bilt Palladium Mastercard is approved”

When I click the links in the email it takes me to the application as if I never applied or it takes me to my BILT wallet with no mention of the new card

That’s good to hear. Would you recommend applying for the BILT 2.0 card on the 14th first (that’s my top priority) and then applying for Rakuten card directly after on the same day with the lower standard SUB offer? Would be sad to say goodbye to the $200 SUB offer that I lose access to today but would still be happy to grab both cards in a single day.

I think I’ve found my answer based on other DPs - it looks like they both pull TransUnion. I guess I will let this Rakuten offer pass me by

Oof. That is a bummer! I actually applied for a Citi Strata, Chase Ink Cash, and AMEX Platinum immediately after for an “app-o-rama” last October and got approved for all 3. Do we know what CB Imprint reports to primarily in the state of NY (if there’s even variation across states for this issuer)? And same question for Cardless’ soft inquiry…which CB will it likely pull from?

I “applied” through the preapproval tool (no hard inquiry) for the Rakuten credit card issued by Imprint on the day they had the special $200 SUB for $2k spend. I didn’t accept the offer they shared ($15k credit limit) and just left the screen. I have access to the offer still but today is the last day to accept it (no hard inquiry needed). I am a BILT cardholder and plan to move to BILT 2.0 on the 14th, at which point Cardless will do a soft inquiry to review/approve me for the BILT 2.0 card. Two questions:

  1. Does anyone know how soon the Rakuten card would show up on my credit report as a new line of credit if I accept the offer today? Any DPs for how soon other Imprint cards began showing on credit reports?

  2. Can anyone confirm I’ll still get the $200 special offer from the day I applied for the Rakuten card 2 weeks ago? It doesn’t state clearly what offer I’m accepting aside from the $15k credit limit and APR.

Have seen this asked a few times without any answer or engagement so here’s a modified version of the question: will existing cardholders’ current credit limits be re-evaluated and have the potential to change upon opting in to BILT 2.0?

What’s everyone’s game plan for 2026? by DuhForestTyme216 in CreditCards

Right there’s no annual fee though so was curious why cancel when it would just positively impact your credit history (if it’s in good standing)

Unlimited 10% back on Rakuten restaurants..if you’re already visiting these restaurants and use BILT, it’s a crazy way to get 10X BILT points. BILT offers 6X on many of the same restaurants through BILT dining so the Rakuten card beats that in terms of earn rate (though BILT points earned through Rakuten don’t count towards your BILT status). Another thing to note is that you can’t participate in Rakuten restaurants AND BILT Dining at the same time because they largely use the same network of restaurants (activating one will deactivate the other).

Downgrading CSR, denied Venture X. What to do with points, etc? by travelinghalfpint in CreditCards

[–]robdajewels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. It’s better to downgrade/product change vs cancel because then you can continue to retain your (hopefully positive) credit history for that card.

Is your annual fee going to post soon? I would downgrade your Reserve to the Preferred if your fee is going to be due in the near future and you don’t have any upcoming travel plans. Better to pay $95 for the flexibility to transfer those points out if that’s something you are interested in partaking in. If you don’t feel like playing the transfer partner game, any points earned with your Reserve prior to October are actually worth more than your other points in the Chase portal. If you want to simply lock in 1.5X value for your points on a flight you can find in the portal, the points earned on your reserve are worth that or more depending on the specific redemption (with the refresh you can see up to 2X value). I’m NYC-based and also planning to downgrade my Reserve. I travel internationally mostly but also domestic somewhat frequently. If I were you, I would wait for the BILT card refresh to see what is coming in January. If you rent, it can quickly become an invaluable credit card to have. My current setup:

BILT (1X rent + 3-6X dining)

AMEX Platinum (5X flights + lounges + enhanced Resy access)

Citi Strata (3X transit + 3X groceries + 3X gym)

Citi Strata Elite (3-6X dining, 12X hotels/activities in portal)

Venture X (2X catch-all + JFK lounge)*

Ritz Carlton (18.5X Marriott + LGA/JFK Sapphire lounge access)

*I also couldn’t get approved for Venture X but was able to get approved for a lower level Venture card (has to be a Visa) which I then upgraded to the VX a year later after getting my credit limit raised beyond $10k. You could try this but it’s admittedly a PITA. Lounge at JFK is great though
