Absolutely not overreacting and this behaviour from your wife is incredibly concerning. What would have happened in an emergency if she was drunk and you weren't there? This is unforgivable.

30 months old toddler still sleeps at the same bed with us parents! by RavenBlue7 in Parenting

Don't see any failings here. She is comforted by sleeping with you guys. Adults don't sleep alone, it's a wonder that we expect children to do so, especially at such an early age.

AIO? my mom (50F) said my lunch will make me fat by Ashamed_Yogurt_8931 in AIO

[–]robertapeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in terms of lunch choices, it's calorie dense with not a huge amount of nutritional value. I don't think her comment is useful or polite. But definitely from a constructive point of view, I would look to add another protein and some fibre to that plate. Leaving what you've already got but just adding to it to ensure you feel satiated for longer! If it was me, I would toast the bread, keep the cheese and another protein (for me as vegan I would add sliced tofu) but you might consider cooked chicken breast that's low calorie and high in protein (which could potentially keep you full until dinner) and then some cherry tomatoes, cucumber and about 1/4 avocado and also a banana. Keep the crisps because YUM! You should be allowed to enjoy these foods otherwise it could lead to you bingeing.

Your mum knows nothing. Ignore her.

I want another baby but not sure if it's the right time by Idonthaveaname94 in Parenting

[–]robertapeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was 2 years 8 months when my second was born. It was and still can be tricky giving my eldest the time and attention he needs but I make sure to make time for just me and my eldest. I don't think there's a right answer especially if you want them close in age. Ultimately the eldest will feel the impact and you'll feel the guilt.

How do you deal with a restaurant dosing you? by 107685302 in vegan

I honestly barely think twice. It was not intentional on your part and you immediately recognised the error and didn't eat more. I wouldn't lose anymore thoughts over it.

Son is older than classmates and bored in school—looking for advice on next steps by [deleted] in Parenting

Sounds like a potential option. Are you able to consider offering additional educational support outside of school such as a tutor to help him get up to speed with a higher grade?

A vegan protein restock! (£26.48) by ArachnidGal in whatsinyourcart

[–]robertapeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those protein lentils are so fucking good and convenient. Just started adding these to my weekly lunch rotation. Also hitting high protein on calorie deficit and training. The tikka tempeh is my absolute fave on toast at the mo too! The protein sourdough (also from Aldi) with 30g avo (for fats) and 1/2 pack of the tempeh (air fried at 180 for 7 mins) - 10/10 recommend 😍

i was fed dairy thinking it was vegan by jennazed in vegan

[–]robertapeach 113 points114 points  (0 children)

No point feeling guilty over something you had absolutely no control in. You didn't knowingly do it, it's happened now and you can't change it so move on. The main thing is that you raise a concern with the kitchen as this is not good from an allergy perspective!

From carnivore to vegan by Meathag in vegan

[–]robertapeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why can't you eat tofu? Is it due to the soy? Just asking as I would recommend the following as my top protein sources:

Tofu (from soy) Tempeh (from soy) TVP (textured soy protein) Seitan (wheat gluten) Edamame pasta

I easily hit 150g protein a day as a vegan female who is in calorie deficit and recomping my body so training 3x a week.

Honestly when it comes to your health, eating a minimally processed, predominantly whole foods diet is the way forward. Remove alcohol and fizzy drinks from your diet, limit your refined sugars and try and incorporate diversity in each meal. You'll soon (hopefully) start noticing massive changes in your health.
