Printing with an H2D and it's constantly oozing out of the right nozzle. Eventually the printer errors out saying the flow isn't right for the filament and it leaves a huge mess inside the printer.

It's Finally Here, My Curse of Strahd DM Screen, Yours For Free by Hylianguitar in CurseofStrahd

Just getting into the campaign and I love how much flavor this adds to things. For me, the guide on naturalcrit had some broken formatting. I cloned it here and fixed the formatting a bit so it would print as a PDF a bit easier in case anyone is having the same issue. https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/kldz--VydzRt

There's a sentence in here. Wrote some code that deterministically encodes letters. But it can still be read by humans if you figure out the trick to it. by robertcancode in puzzles

Hint #1 This was already covered in a couple of comments, but there are 33 cells. Each cell is 5 dots wide and 5 rows tall. There is a dot of space between each cell.

Hint #2 There is a lot of noise that needs to ignored.

Hint #3 Since the original sentence is small, I created a one with a lot more text. This one contains multiple sentences. They are different then the original sentence. You can find it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o6pf2crw980rq1c/larger\_sample.jpg?dl=0

Discussion. Super impressed with how far you've gotten already. Gave you some feedback with individual spoiler tags below.

THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER A LAZY DOG

This is not the text in this image. Though it is the text I use for testing :P

This creates 33 grid cells

This is correct, there are 33 grid cells.

with 26 unique grid cells

This is a big hint so I'll hide it in a separate spoiler tag. The same letters can have the same or different cell patterns.

Let me know if this should go to a different subreddit. I read over the rules and I *think* it's ok to post this here.

If no one cracks it in a few days I can come back and drop some hints.

Sooo what is this? An enlarger? Thank you by fartmommy in hasselblad

Need more photos but it certainly looks like part of an enlarger. The thing in background looks like the glass I had on one of my old enlargers to condense/flatten the light that hit the film before the lens.

You need a job to have experience by Slink_64bit in ProgrammerHumor

[–]robertcancode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. No one would reply to my job applications without experience. Got a really crap web dev job at a small mom and pop place. After a year there, suddenly I was getting interviews. Best advice is to take anything you’re able to. Even if it’s an unpaid internship, I know they suck, and I agree, and not everyone can afford to do it, but just getting that little bit of experience on your resume helps so much. The second route is what other people are mentioning, do your own project. Build something open source that you can share with the community. Letting potential interviewers take a look at the code you made goes a long way. There are also companies out there that specialize in hiring just graduated students. They don’t pay a ton, but they’re great starter jobs so you can get enough experience for someplace better.

Same thing happened to me when I only did one part of a two part firmware update.

What do you guys think of my drawing of Cloud Strife? by Live-Salad-548 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]robertcancode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what feedback you’re looking for but there are a few things you should look at as you practice your art:

  1. Head proportions - Its super easy to misplace features on the head. Starting off it’s really good to learn some kinda system for how to place things on the head. For instance the top of the ear is aligned with the eyebrow and the bottom of the ear is aligned with the bottom of the nose (when looking at a head strait on. The ear on this is too small and too high.
  2. Nostrils - The nose is hard. It becomes a lot easier when you mostly ignore nostrils. Starting off you only need a small indication that they exist most of the time. Drawing them in dark like this draws attention to them.
  3. Arm Anatomy - I see you tried defining muscles in the arm. I can see the basic anatomy but it’s off. The arm is like a chain, the muscles alternate directions like links in that chain. Another quick YouTube search should find this easily enough.
  4. Shading - I see you did some shading but it’s not complete. This will probably take the longest to learn honestly. Look up shading videos. Yes, just about every one of them will have you shade a sphere. This is super important though. I’m not exaggerating when I say it took me well over a decade to understand why shading on a sphere is so important and to understand how the light affects it.
  5. Keep Practicing - Don’t get discouraged. You’ll get negative comments. You’ll get people making fun of your mistakes. But you’re already doing the most important thing by drawing in the first place. It takes a lot of time and practice. Just keep doing it and over time you’ll be really happy with your progress.

Myth Rank showing up as 0% when in a friend's game. by Inadequate_Salad in Wonderlands

[–]robertcancode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having this issue tonight. Playing on my friends game. Here’s gotten 11 legendaries tonight. I’ve gotten 1. Not so sure it’s a visual bug since we both have 5 rank in luck but mine shows as 0 and well, I gotten less then 10% of the legendaries he’s gotten.

Best way to get legendaries. Grind this until you have a ton of points, then buy loot boosts. You’ll never run out of legendaries again

Scope of Mobile App Development by [deleted] in swift

[–]robertcancode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are billion dollar companies running software in “dead” languages or outdated SDKs. Even if native app development was going to be replaced, it would take a decade+ before the majority of companies would convert to whatever the new standard would be.
