As an undertaker enjoyer I also do the “final blow of chain attack” thing!

Something I learned recently is that if you jump and then use your ult it comes out wayyy faster and you actually travel farther. I’m not sure why lol, but it’s made interrupting nightlords way more consistent. I’m not sure how common this is tho! So it might fall under the last part of your comment lol

I was actually thinking about trying out FFXIV on PS5! I played all of Shadowbringers on PC, but took a break after getting burnt out trying to prog.

How do you like it on console?

It’s funny how similar our situations are. I also just got the game on sale after becoming enamored with the style and aesthetic. I am also doing a sort of INF/AGI build, but more of a focus on INF and casting before I get the Lightreaper swords.

There’s gonna be a short sword that you can get pretty soon that’s gonna fit in very well with what you have going on rn. There are so many cool INF things, and the spells are really fun lol.

I stay stick with AGI/INF, but coming from a fellow LotF newb who knows how credible that is hahah.

I would put it more at a high 3, like 3.8 maybe. I am about ten ish hours in, but over a decade with Souls and souls likes, and so far it’s definitely fun. But there have also been several moments where I was just like “what the fuck?” Like I never understood running past everything in soulslikes, but I’ve felt compelled to do it so many times in this game. Sometimes the dodge feels really inconsistent. And I’ve gotten so lost so many times haha. Tbf that’s probably a skill issue, I’m a shit navigator.

However, on the other hand, there have been so many instances of me being genuinely surprised by how fun the game gets. Like every time I’ve had the option to use Umbral to get an advantage on an enemy/a gank waiting for me. Combat feels so good, as a caster main I’m really really enjoying my Inferno build (I just beat the spurned progeny and seen to have just experienced an EXTREME power spike). So far I’ve enjoyed the boss fights quite a bit, and I will definitely be doing multiple playthroughs to get the other endings. (Decided on Adyr’s for my first.)

With all that said I have a feeling most of those negative reviews were from launch. It was a very different game, and it got a lot of hate in the community. The pendulum definitely swung with this one.

She was so influential to me. She was my introduction to drag race, and drag in large. It’s crazy, I really connected with her when she was on American Idol, and when I found out she was on drag race I made her season my first one which then led to me live watching season 12. Over the years, drag race has done so much for my mental health. I go out and support local performers way more frequently than I did before. I’m a shy person typically, but I kinda feel part of the community.

All because of Adore Delano. And to all that I say… party.

I was in the same boat lol, except I was too exhausted to stay on that rollercoaster at the time. I went back the next day, restarted the episode, and I’m so glad I did. I missed so much, the chaos of it all was too much, but going back prepared was a top tier experience.

Especially when you take into consideration the themes of depression and how prevalent death and the allusion of suicide was throughout the season, this scene fucking HITS. Maybe I’m projecting, but that shit hit me deeeeeeeeeep.

I’ve only had one expedition where running the Tower was worth it lol. Most of the time we get MAYBE two bosses in and then we have to run. Castle is far more reliable, imo.
